Rated 5 out of 5 by Long Lasting I've had mine for about 10 years. I pretty much never clean it, if I need to it is very easy to do. Has fit several different horses. It is still in great condition and I'm sure I'll have it for many more years. January 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The BEST saddle money can buy!!! I've had my Abetta saddle for 13 years! It's been through just about everything a saddle can experience. It has fit every horse its been on (lots of horses), has held up even through all of the training sessions (been fallen on, laid on, etc.), and the only thing that ever happened was two conchos coming off! Two years ago I got another Abetta saddle (the pathfinder one) for my husband and he loves it. These saddles are such excellent quality, they are worth every penny and more. My original Abetta saddle (I still have the matching pad too) is the purple southwest print, and since my daughter has now started using it, I'll be getting another one soon. Wish I could find that color again, if they still make it. Anyway, just thought I'd put in my 2cents. You can't go wrong with an Abetta!!! July 28, 2011

I have a new horse and my old saddle does not fit her. The horse is wide and has a very short back. I tried a friend's Abetta on her and it fit perfectly. Can't beat the price and my friend's experience other reviews are good.
    Tammy D on Jul 23, 2015
Bought it because I needed a lightweight, inexpensive, high cantle traiil saddle. Thought it would fit my horse, but he actually needed full QH bars, so I ordered the Big Horn full QH trail saddle instead.

    Are the stirrups plastic ??
    annie o on Jul 3, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, the stirrups are plastic. Though this is not my favorite feature of the saddle, I otherwise love it as does my horse.

Does this saddle do well on wide-withered horses?
    Leanna on Mar 22, 2015
Best Answer: If you mean a horse that needs a gullet or tree that fits wider than a typical "regular" tree, or a horse that has mutton-withers, this saddle will not fit. The gullet opening is too narrow, and the front of the saddle tree will pinch the the shoulder, causing pain and restricted movement, and the saddle will have a tendency to roll. Wintec and Big Horn make a higher quality lightweight synthetic saddle, and I know that Wintec makes at least one model in a Wide with a square skirt. See if they also have wide in the round skirt. The downside of the Wintecs several years ago was that the fenders were so stiff, you needed stirrup turners. Maybe they've fixed that. If Big Horn makes a wide, that would also be a good alternative - their trees in the synthetics are the same ones they use in their expensive leather saddles.

Does saddle runs small? My leather saddle has a 15'' seat, would it be the same in synthetic ?
    annie o on Aug 12, 2015
Best Answer: My 13" saddle measures 13" from the inside swell to the rise of the inside cantle. It is not as deep as I am used to so it feels a little different than my leather Western Saddle, but I cannot say it runs smaller just that the pocket is not as deep.

I am 5'5" and 130#, average length legs. Would 15" fit me best?
    A shopper on Sep 29, 2013
Best Answer: I bought this saddle in May and I LOVE IT! It's built well and is very light weight. I am 5'4" and 190#. I bought the 17" so I'm sure the 15" would fit you fine. Enjoy!

my horses are 16-17 year old paso fino's (narrow back, high wither) and I need a cordura saddle for hot, damp, salt air near the beach, so less metal is better. Is there anywhere I can send a tracing of their backs in order to pick the right saddles? I need 2.
    June H on Aug 6, 2015
Best Answer: Unfortunately, we do not have anyone that reads wither tracings. However, most saddle manufacturer's will!

    ANGELA P on Apr 1, 2015
Best Answer: Unfortunately, that is not a standard measurement. All stirrups are adjustable and can have additional holes added if needed.

I'm trying to get saddles for my young daughters. Deciding between Abetta and Big Horn synthetic. Which has the shortest stirrups?
    A shopper on Nov 28, 2014
Best Answer: I bought the Abetta because it's incredibly light and comfortable. I'm 5'1" and use the second to the shortest stirrup length option. I love this saddle!
