gaited trail saddle that is light and made well

I tried out at least 7 different saddles and this was the most comfortable for me and my TWH

Reasonable price, esp.on sale! Lightweight, which makes it easy for a woman to sling onto a horse's back and to carry without assistance. Comfortable, even on long rides. Easy maintenance. Already own a western Abetta saddle I've had for years and which is still in great condition.

What is the difference between the standard gaited saddle and a flex gaited saddle?
c c on Oct 6, 2015
Best Answer: The flex gaited saddle has the flex tree. It literally, like the name sounds, allows more flexion/movement of the saddle to work with instead of against the movement of the horse.

How do you tell the difference between an Abetta gaited saddle on a regular Ralide tree and an Abetta gaited saddle on a flex Ralide tree? They look the same to me on the outside. Are there different serial numberrs for them. I want to make sure I'm getting what I pay for because the Gaited flex saddles are more expensive than the regular tree ones.

Best Answer: Abetta advises us that the model number for their gaited trail saddles is stamped on the left side tie strap keeper.
The model number for this saddle is 20572F6 (the F stands for Flex)
The Abetta Gaited Western Trail Saddle (item E901917) has a gaited Ralide tree but it is not a flex tree, and the model number to be found on the left side tie strap keeper is 205726.
