I bought one of these for the short trail rides, something to carry a hoof pick, rope halter & lead, zip ties for quick fixes on the trail, maybe a snack or a camera. It does the job pretty well, my only complaint is the fasteners, if my horse gives a good shake, small items (like the hoof pick) can come out.
It is a thin pad, so if you need extra cushion you need to use and extra pad.

I ride English - mostly trail riding and needed something to hold a halter, lead rope and lunch. This fits everything! I bought my first one about a year ago and have used it every weekend. It is still in great shape but I decided to get another while on sale. The pockets are large but very secure. You won't be disappointed.

All Purpose Endurance Pad from Reno, NV
My husband and I have used these for about two years on many long rides including a five day pack trip in Yosemite. Our saddles fit so the pads are a perfect thickness. (No sores ever.) They are easily washed in the machine and hold up after many washings. You can sponge wash the horse-side during long trips and they dry overnight.
Thanks for a great product.

This is a great pad. The pockets are nice and the pad is large enough for a dressage or aussie saddle.

Used it on the trail yesterday in Evergreen CO, kept my camera and all my food in the pockets and it worked out perfectly!!

One thing that many need to remember is that a pad will not fix major saddle fit problems. That being said, if you saddle fits properly this is a great English pad. I was afraid that it was going to be a little too thick under my saddle but it wasn't. I was also afraid that it was going to be slippery but it was completely the opposite. When I mounted my saddle didn't even move. It is a great pad and I would highly recommend it to anyone riding English.

this is a thin pad, dont use it alone, use something between the saddle cuz it will not protect your horse. it holds stuff well. way over priced tho. small pad.

I love to ride in an English saddle. This is the perfect pad for riding trails in an Emglish saddle. Pockets are big enough to carry your water bottle, shirt, etc. No flapping around when cantering like saddle bags After some trail friends saw mine, they bought one too. Im now purchasing my third saddle pad and glad it is still available!

Remember this pad is for an English saddle, and is best used with a fleece hunt pad or gel pad between it and the saddle. It provides great storage of lead lines, water, sandwiches, or whatever, and is extremely durable.

This saddle pad really is to thin to use, my horse got her first saddle sore while using this pad. Most saddles dont fit on it too since its a very small pad.
