The low heat transfer and friction index of ceramic keeps these clipper blades running 50% cooler than traditional steel blades. This allows you to use less coolant to clip longer and faster with less downtime. Compatible with all Andis®, Oster®, Laube®, Conair® and Wahl® detachable clippers.

Not worth the extra money, 1/29/2007

I was hoping for a great blade with this, but I found it doesnt cut as well, I need to make more passes with the clipper, and its not as close a clip with the #10 blade as the standard Andis blade. It also gets just as hot as the regular blade. For a Poodle who fusses when being clipped, this blade makes grooming more stressful.
