I have used this product for 7 or more years on my arthritic quarter horse. Keeps him comfortable and rideable at 24 years old. I am now purchasing it for my 9 year old paint to use as a preventative.

I have heard great things about this product and was told that I could use it on my two Great Pyrenees. One weighs 120 lbs and the other 130 lbs. I'm trying to figure out the dosage. Would a half of a teaspoon be about right?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Best Answer: Hello. I looked to see if there was a dosage for dogs on the label and didn't see one. Then I looked just a recommended doses of glucosamine for dogs to see if that would give a starting point. While looking at that, I read one article that said you can overdose a dog on glucosamine and have side effects that include diarrhea. So, I came away with the idea that I would consult my vet :) If you become more knowledgeable, please share what you learn! i have used cosequin for my mature dogs but would love to try this as I like the product for my horses.
