Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works Great! I used this all last year during fly season and it worked great! While my horse still had some flies and I still used fly spray, he didn't have near the amount that the other horses have. He never had any problems with flies around his face or ears, mainly just his lower legs. My arab doesn't mind the taste, my new horse isn't wild about the taste which is okay because it makes him slow down when he eats now! April 12, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Didn't make much of a difference Although the price of this supplement is hard to beat, I found that it really did very little in controlling the flies around and on my horse. I still have to use fly spray daily and after a while, she stopped eating her grain with this in it. Maybe she was getting too much vitamin B. I do notice less bugs in her manure, though. Not really a great supplement for fly control in my opinion. But was worth a try. September 29, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by BugLyte I have been using BugLyte for almost 2 months.. I really don't see a difference. I still have to use a fly spray to control the flies.. I'm not sure if I stopped using this product if the flies would increase.. Overall I was not impressed.. May 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worked great! The flies used to attack my horse, now after just one can of Buglyte, i see the flies have moved to an easier target. Many others have said it takes a while to kick in, but mine was working effectively in a week. it took a while for my horse to like the taste, but he loves it now! will never buy another feed thru fly product besides buglyte again. Rated 5 out of 5 by I switched over from another brand Since they "improved" my other feed thru fly control brand, i decided to switch, since theirs just is not working well any more. Been only a week so far, but they love this stuff as much as they loved the other stuff and seems the flies are going down already. This is much cheaper to use than the other brand was and I must say, so far so good. Hope this company does not "improve" this stuff as well. August 30, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stuff! Really works!!! My horse had no mane or top of tail due to incessant rubbing, she had the girth line of scabs and patches elsewhere...after 1 month, no more rubbing, no more scabs! Halleluya! August 25, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Stinky...but Great! I am a huge skeptic when it comes to trying new products. I was very skeptical on this whole feed- thru fly control idea. For 11 dollars though... why not try it! We haven't had too big of a pest problem (hardly any knats, only flys), this summer. After feeding BugLyte for a few weeks the fly population has deminished considerably! I might see 2 or three flys around my geldings a day. The only fault I have found with this product is it's stench! I am very careful not to stir up the powder at all at feeding time because once its on you you will smell "garlicy"! Horses have no problem eating BugLyte though, they love it! My geldings spend some time in Greeneville Tennessee where the knat population is insane, nothing keeps them at bay. I can't wait to try this product when they spend their time there! July 23, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bug Free w/out Chemicals!!! This is a great product for anyone who wants to naturally keep flies off w/out using chemical sprays, etc. Given sufficient time to work, this product is a 12 on a scale of 1-10! And I live next to a dairy!!! I use it every spring thru fall. May 21, 2011

Great price. Good reviews for tick and bug prevention (Lyme disease is prevalent in my area).

Was ordering prepackaged feed-through but decided to try a most cost effective product.

Keeps nates and mosquitoes from biting horses. They used to have open sores from the nates. They don't anymore. They are still bothered by flys, but it is worth it to avoid the sores caused by nates.

could not find locally. Have a mare with sweet itch, she has been on this over 1 year and appears to be helping. She had no issue eating it, mixed with timothy pellets and H20.

Does this product keep the gnats aka no-see-ums away? Does the horse smell when using the product?
KATY N on Aug 22, 2014
Best Answer: Hi, our horses do not smell like the product, although both horses have had a side effect of white tips on their ears while using the product. I cannot officially comment on the gnats, but I can say that I have not seen any of those or mosquitos, which is a big change from last summer. This product will not keep all flies away but it is certainly diminished. There are also less flies on the poop piles, likely because the product makes it way out. We use this in combination with fly predators and also fans in the stalls, so our fly and other bug population has been very diminished.

Best Answer: Hi Trudy,

I'm not sure why you can't because I bought it again this year
in the Beginning of April and I didn't have any problems.

Maybe the item was out of stock when you tried...did you call
customer service to ask them to help you order this?

Hope they can help!

Great product!

I brought this last year and now I can't get it this year in Ca?
trudy F on May 6, 2015
Best Answer: I bought this product last year for my horse who has been having increasingly worsening seasonal bug allergies. I fed it for about 4-5 months and it did nothing. Don't know why they asked me to answer your question.....

Do you carry this in 10 pound pails? and if so how much is it? Thanks
A shopper on Apr 16, 2015
Best Answer: I did find it in a 10lb container at another site and WOW is it expensive! More than the price of two 5lb containers here! Buy the two 5lb buckets on sale, you can't beat this product at this price at this time of year. My horse loves it and the flies let her alone without spraying her.
