Have an Aussie saddle to try out from a friend, needed a pad of some sort. If saddle doesn't work, I'm sure she'll enjoy the pockets for trail.

Is this pad thick enough for long trail rides for sweat not to come through on the horse?
ANGELA P on Jul 30, 2014
Best Answer: I would say yes, but it depends on the temperature (and how long you mean by long). I used this on 3 hour ride with no problem, but it was only 3 hours and the temperature was not very hot. I could see sweat on the underside, but it didn't come through to the top. So it worked for my horse, but your mileage may vary. The pad is about a quarter of an inch thick. Hope this helps.
