I bought the burgundy lead to match a burgundy halter that I also bought from the website. Colors match up perfectly. This lead is a little thicker, which is perfect when trailering the horses! Absolutely love this lead.

i bought two of these leads about 5 months ago and i love them. they tie easily and i have left them out overnight on the ground in the rain and they are perfectly fine the next morning, other than a little dirt. the dirt will come off after you use it. i love it and so do my three horses that i use them on. 5 stars on everything!!

Cotton fiber is great. We work with dozens of horses, and are hosing them off daily and undoing snaps often. The problem comes in after the snaps get wet and they start sticking so you can't take them off the halter. Besides that, they are great.

I bought two of these lead ropes about a year and a half ago. They are super soft but are very durable! I use them all the time, and they still look new. I'm coming back on here to buy some more actually.

I love this lead! I bought the burgundy and the color is fantastic. The rope is heavy, the hardware is sturdy, and the length is perfect.

I have had one of these lead ropes for over four years. There is only slight fading and they have been used a ton of times. They've been through ground work, riding bareback, a rearing horse yanking on them, etc., and my lead still works amazing. As it is my only lead, I'm buying two more soon. I would recommend this to anyone I know. This is by far the best lead I have ever used. And never once have I had the knot on the end even come close to coming undone or the lead itself un-twisting.

I love this lead rope! If the horse pulls it out of my hands it doesn't give me rope burn! And it has a little knot at the end so when a horse does pull on it there is that knot that keeps it from sliding all the way out at times. This a very nice lead rope and i recommend it :)

My horse is pasture boarded, so her halter and of course lead rope is outside, too. She has this lead rope in purple and it hasn't faded yet! I've had it since November, and it's been outside every day since then. It's nice and heavy and it's really soft, I love them!

I love this lead rope! It is very durable and doesn't burn my hands if my young horse pulls it out of my hands. It is the perfect length and doesn't unravel! I have had it for more than 6 months now.

Better than I thought it would be! The snap doesn't stick like most others and the end is tied well and won't fray. It is very soft and easy on the hands yet remains sturdy and won't break easily. If you're not sure whether or not you should get this, think again because this is an awesome lead rope! :)

I've become obsessed with this lead rope since I got it about a week ago! It's very loose and thick, not stiff and hard or thin like most others! It's long too, so it's uber convenient! Most of the time I jump on my gelding with just a halter and use this as a rein. Very nice! Wouldn't buy any other!!

We got two of these lead ropes, and we love them! The colors are exactly as shown in the picture and haven't faded at all. I have dragged this lead rope through dirt, areas and puddles and it still looks the same. Highly recommend!

Soft cotton, easy to tie, holding up well in AZ summers. There is a lot of stretch & give to them, so if I am working ground manners and need to give a sharp tug for correction these don't work as well as my stiff nylon lead ropes. Pretty good for most daily uses

I bought one of these in white about 2 years ago. It's still going strong after much use, and even a few pull-backs. There is some fraying, but it's secure to the snap where it counts. It's also stayed relatively clean, despite being one of my primary leads I use. It's stretchy, soft and flexible. I only buy cotton leads after buying my first. No rope burn from nylon for me, if it gets ripped out of my hands. Probably not the best lead for horses that are going to be prone to act silly on a regular basis, but for little mishaps, it does hold to the abuse just fine. I'm only coming back now for a new one because I'm getting a new halter for my mare and I'd like a color-matching lead to go with it.

I absolutly love these lead ropes, the are a liitle long but it is so much better than all other lead ropes. I love the price and quality and they are easy to tie to posts and stalls. The snap is nice and big so it is easy to clip to any halter. The colors never fade aand the stay supple from the moment you buy it.

I bought the natural lead rope for my horse and love it. The only downfall is the length and how quick it gets dirty. it also gets unbraided quick. But all in all a good product!

I got the blue and was AMAZED at the quality for the price. i love that they are super heavy duty, much heavier then a dog lead, which makes leading spooky horses much easier on my hands. i used mine to put behind a trailer balking mare and she went right in. over all i love this lead. and the price is excellent. thanks horse.com

I love these cotton lead ropes. I dont like the nylon ones because if you leave them out in the rain they get all stiff and nasty. Not these guys I use them all the time with the horses I ride and also I have a meat goat and I use them to attach a tire to him to have him pull it. They have handled everything we throw at them. GREAT product.

nothing special about this rope. Ive ordered several over the years, and they do end up fraying after a couple years if you take care of them, but they are ropes that get used at least once a day, so wear n tare is pretty normal. Great rope, soft on the hands, not thin as a dog leash. I recommend!

Great Lead. Same quality you get at the store, except they don't wrap the ends where they weave them back in with tape. So I just wrapped it myself, and it's holding up great. Overall, if you can live with that, it saves $5+ over the ones in the stores.

These are way safer and more comfortable than the common nylon leads. I received a very much used one when I bought my mare 4 years ago and am only now having to replace it. The best part about the cotton lead is that it never gets stiff and short like the nylon. Stays soft and supple for life!

I have used your lead ropes for years. The new shipment is awful!!!! Unlike previous lead ropes, they are thin as dog leashes and the snaps are half as heavy as the previous ropes. These are too light weight to be safe unless you have a mini. My horse broke a brand new one in less than half an hour. She hestitated while loading in a trailer and it shredded. I have never had a lead rope break. DO NOT BUY THIS AWFUL, AWFUL LEAD ROPE!!! If Horse.com gets the previous quality back in, they will be OK. Since I don't know which I will get when I order, I will be buying from my local tack store.

My horse chews on lead ropes so they don't last long, but the quality is good and they haven't broken as long as I replace them when they get frayed. That's just common sense horse safety. I work in a tack store and can buy these lead ropes cheaper than wholesale, which actually is a sad commentary on the retail industry. Support your local tack store otherwise they won't be in business!

This is the same brand product you can get everywhere.Does the job without the extra $$. Soft lead for safety on you and the horse. The only problem I have is with Stateline Tack. I ordered 30 with 2nd day air and they only sent 5 thats all they had in stock. They never contacted me to see if I only wanted 5 or to cancel the order. The shipping cost didnt change from 30 items to 5 either. They dont even backorder, they just cancelled the remaining 25 and said I had to reorder them when they are back in stock, so keep checking our site. They should have notified me when my order was received and they saw they only had 5. A simple call or email would have done the trick and saved a lot of frustration. There are plenty of places to spend my money and Stateline wont be on my list anymore. Poor customer service and inventory and order control.

I have used these lead ropes for years. The only ones that have broken have been because a horse pulled back. I can buy two of these for the same price as the ones in the tack shop that last no longer.

Safe: for you and your horse. The cotton means if a horse pulls back and the rope runs through your hand, you dont lose skin. If he sits back while tied, the cotton gives just enough so he wont break his neck.
Comfortable: The lead is thin enough to hold comfortably in small hands and tie easily.
Well made: Ive had the same set for 12 years and they still look great!
