How wide is the tree?
Best Answer: 24.5cm or 9.6 inches
I am borrowing a Bates WIDE saddle that fits the horse beautifully, but is a bit big for me, putting me in a chair seat. It is an 18". Is there anyway to tell if I should buy a 17" or 17.5" without trying one out? My weight or measurements?
Best Answer: This is a simple sizing guide to help you determine the size saddle recommended for your body size.
This is determined by this easy calculation: Sit in a position so that your upper leg is at a right-angle to your lower leg, then measure your upper leg length ...from the back of your buttock to the tip of your knee. Use this chart to determine your seat size: Upper Leg Length Seat Size*** Up to 16 1/2" 15" seat Up to 18 1/2" 16" seat Up to 20" 16 1/2" seat Up to 21 1/2" 17" seat Up to 23" 17 1/2" seat Up to 23" 18" seat ***These are general guidelines, fit is not guaranteed***
