Why did you choose this?
How long does one canister last?
Best Answer: I think you would have to try it to see how well it works in your particular situation. For our farm, I bought multiple canisters and hung them according to the instructions, but did not find the product very effective for any length of time. I am going to experiment on my own with the concept using essential oils and also give this product another chance this season. This year will be a good test since we had such a relatively mild winter and expect a bad bug season. I don't think anything is perfect and probably a multi-faceted approach is needed; I used fly strips last year too, even though I don't like doing that.....but I also don't like bugs all over my horses. Good luck.
what does this product repel?
Best Answer: Controls deer, house, stable, horse and black flies. Ticks, mosquitoes and gnats.
does it repel spiders?
Best Answer: It is not effective against spiders. Spiders are very difficult. I use Pro-Zap in my basement. If you can find osage oranges they are a natural repellent that people in our area use. Hope this helps
Does this work for bees?
Best Answer: I did not have any wasp nest in the barn last year when I used them. Can't say it will keep the flying ones away, but I didn't see any when I was in the barn. At least "for us" there was no knocking down nests.
How long to they last for those of you who have purchased/used these?
Best Answer: About 30 days & if you contact the company there are links to buy the pellets refills. It's important to me to have a natural way to keep pests away;)
Has anybody ever tried it on a boat?
Best Answer: Do not Know About a boat, have two on my back porch (50ft) and they work great, do not know of a reason they would not work on boat. flies don't just stay around the barn. they should work where ever you put them.
