Why did you choose this? Store
My brother and I became Volunteer Mounted Patrol, for the State parks. They wanted us to have halters and either black or brown tack. I don't like using my good leather out on the trails that often. So hopefully this will work out.

Does this set come with the bit?
Roxy9682 on Nov 9, 2014
Best Answer: No, you have to supply the bit yourself. It's shown with a Western-type bit, but I have used it with an English bit just fine.

What the measurement for the small? I Bought a medium and it is huge on my Tennessee Walker. I want to buy another for my quarter horse but I don't want her to be swimming in it.
A shopper on Mar 13, 2015
Best Answer: Unfortunately, this manufacturer does not provide specific measurements.

Small: 500-800 lbs
Medium: 800-1,100 lbs
Large: 1,100-1,600 lbs

Can I get the exact (largest) measurements of the browband and the throat latch and the exact (smallest) measurement of the main piece (that goes from the bit, around the head, and back to the bit)? My horse has a huge forehead and throat, but his nose/face length is not warmblood or draft size.
Cindy G on Nov 14, 2014
Best Answer: Cashel advises us the browband is 18.5".
Bit end to bit end over the poll is 52" at the longest adjustment and 37" at the shortest.
Throatlatch at longest is 19" and 16" at shortest.
We were advised that both straps have room to punch holes to adjust either way. Please bear in mind, however, that doing so would render the item un-returnable.

i ride with a hackamore bridle will this work on a hackamore bit ?
weldon j on Sep 10, 2014
Best Answer: I use my halter bridle with a snaffle. The nose band is adjustable, but it would likely interfere with a mechanical-type hackamore.
