Dissapointing!, 6/14/2010

The shoulder seam ripped the first night the horse wore it. The second night the shoulder seam was completely destroyed. It didn't even last 2 days. It seems like sturdy construction but is an awkward fit on my horse. Maybe others will have better luck!

Definitely Disappointed, 4/27/2010

I was so excited to try this fly sheet. Its design features are awesome and the fly mask has an unbeatable reputation. This sheet is so nicely tailored, and the front leg gusset system was totally unique and effective-looking. I wasn't thrilled with the front buckle closure but figured it'd work.... I had it delivered to my college address and finally made it home to try on my TB a couple weeks later. I put it on him after an afternoon ride, and when I went out the next morning, just over twelve hours later, the vertical seam from the withers/neck area that drops down along the shoulder was torn open about eight inches long. What a disappointment! My horse is very easy on blankets, this was fitted right, and his turnout is all vinyl fencing so nothing to snag it on.... If it were not for the tear, I would have said the quality was 5 stars, the price was 5 stars, and overall it was 5 stars. Perhaps the tear was either a design flaw or just the sewing/material for this one sheet was faulty. I couldn't find any reviews on the various dozen websites/catalogs I searched so did take a risk. While I can't say whether this problem would repeat itself, I'm not going to risk it and am looking for a different sheet. For what it's worth, the price is the best I've found, here at horse.com, and they did take it as a defective product return, picking it up at their expense. I appreciated their service, and wouldn't hesitate to order from them again!
