Rated 4 out of 5 by Andrea Great... but not for my horse
I needed a mask with ears for my horse because I clip his ears and the flies are bad. It's great quality and feel. It hasn't ripped. Unfortunately, though, my horse is a master at taking off fly masks. He gets them off within a day, even this mask, which makes me sad because I really like this mask.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kelly Love this mask!
bought one for my bald face paint mare, and she is no long bright pink on her nose! she wears it with no issues, it rarely gets ripped off her face, and she really loves it as much as i do! thinking of buying the arab size for my yearling, and also bought a horse sized one for a friesian pintabian my friend owns and it fits him perfect! best mask hands down, you definitely pay for quality over quantity here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Caitlin Better than sunscreen!
My bald face mare has extremely sensitive skin to bugs, and even worse, to the sun. She gets blisters across her eyelids, in her nose, her lips, bloody, raw, and horribly painful to her. Sunscreen is not practical to put on everyday. Since I bought this mask 2 years ago, she has not burned once! The double velcro keeps even the annoying yearling in with her from tearing it off!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Barb Great product
This is the best mask I have ever purchased. Not stiff and uncomfortable, but durable. I bought the long nose version for my bald faced paint. Way more than good fly protection. Great protection from gnats in the ears with soft comfortable fabric. Sun protection even in the winter for her sensitive pink skin. And like others have said in their reviews, she comes right over and helps put it on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nancy H It's a keeper ... almost
I've tried several types of masks, but this has been the best. Unfortunately, my mare managed to lose it in the pasture & I can't find it. Don't know how she got it off - it has a double-velcro closure. The only problem is one I've experienced with all fly masks - horses like to rub, and they rub holes in the ears. But they love the mask - come to me to put it on when they see me with it. We live by a river and the gnats are awful, so masks are a necessity! There is no perfect mask, but this one is pretty close.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Teri Great Idea, Needs Work
I bought one of these masks with the long nose and ears for my 20yr old QH who has severe bug allergies. I was tired of the constant scabs on his face and open sores on his ears. I usually use the Supermasks (which I love), but needed something with more coverage.
The coverage is exactly what I was wanting. The quality of the product isn't. The closure is too small to really keep the velcro attached, and my horse keeps taking it off. The first one I bought survived only 24hrs before being shredded. The 2nd one is currently missing in the pasture, for at least the 6th time this season.
Love the idea. Needs work to be improved.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CP A little disheartened.
I wrote a raving review before, however, I recieved my new one and need to revise. The design is still good, however, they've changed the quality of the mesh. It is lighter and more flexible than previously. You can feel the difference when comparing to the one I bought two years ago. Also, not sure what size arab they have but it doesn't fit mine. Passable in the upper section, however, the nose section is way to long. I think a bit of sewing can fix this. Also the closure is differnt. New design is more secure, (though I've never had the old one come loose) but so small it's hard to secure tight enough for my slender mare's head. I still prefer this over other brands but am still bummed the changes they made damage quaility rather than improve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CP Does the job.
I bought this first for my Arab mare. I only had the horse size available but bought it anyways. It was a bit big and hung low over her nose, however, I was able to jury rig it to fit better. Than I bought a grey TB that seems to attract every fly in the county. I threw this one on her and it fit perfect. She loves it and will actually come over to have it put on in the morning. This is it's third year and doing great though I do notice I will most likely need to replace the strap soon which is fine with me. I threw another popular brand in "arab" size on my mare and can't stand it. Am now purchasing a second cashel in arab size.
