Cashel Crusader Long Nose Fly Mask With Ears
Offer your horse the ultimate in fly protection and a safe alternative to toxic and ineffective fly sprays. Rated #1 for comfort, design, and fit by equine clinicians and publications, the Cashel® Crusader™ Fly Mask employs a patented three-hole cap design that ensures comfort, eliminates forelock damage, and remains stationary whether your horse is in the stall or the pasture. The panels are constructed of soft-coated nylon micromesh that hovers above the skin’s surface, protecting the soft tissues of the eyes and forehead from flying insects and blocking 70% of the sun’s damaging UV rays. Edges and seams are bound with low-nap plush fabric that won’t attach to irritating burrs or bristles.
The Long Nose Crusader™ With Ears allows your horse's ears to slip lightly and comfortably into fitted sheaths made of Wickaway. This soft, moisture wicking material is light and silent, allowing unobstructed hearing and full range of movement while completely protecting them from biting flies and gnats. Also features an extended fit that shields the nose.

Why did you choose this?
Will this fly mask last?
Best Answer: Yes it will. We bought three of them for two horses three years ago, and one has a rip in it but the other two are fine. Our horses like to get them off and leave them out in the pasture, so sometimes they lie around out in the weather for several days before we find them. They have held up through this and other rough treatment, and still offer excellent protection. We really think that they are worth the expense. We wash them in the washer on a gentle cycle and hang them up to dry and they stay in excellent shape.
do you have for a pony?
Best Answer: This particular mask is not available in pony size. However, we do carry other masks that are. Check out Item# E005911, Item# E001078 and Item# E005911
I read that it runs a little big. I typically get horse sized items for my draft cross despite his huge head they always seem to fit. So would I be safe getting a horse size or should I try the warmblood?
Best Answer: I would make sure you measure the length of his face. Where I have had problems with fit, is if the mask is too long, the part that covers the nose gets filthy faster. I haven't had any problems fitting the mask around the face because there is enough adjustment available with the velcro. I love these masks and will not use any other.
I purchased the Horse size for my High Brow Cat QH but his head is on the smaller size. Is the Arabian size considered smaller than the Horse size?
Best Answer: yes it is, I purchase the Arabian size for my small Quarter Horse Mare and the Horse size for my Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred. I love these masks and wont buy anything else now, only issue I have is on both of them the velcro part is long and to make it tight enough on their heads there is not much flap left to fold over.
can this be monogrammed?
Best Answer: I have never thought about monogramming this item because my boy is so ruff on his masks but they are excellent and they are UV Protected. This is a very big issues because my boy is solid white with blue eyes. Hope this helps.
looking for a yearling mask with long nose. will the Arabian mask be too big?
Best Answer: I can't answer if the Arabian mask would be to big or not. My horse has a very long face, so the warmblood mask fits him great. It is the second or third one I've owned for the same horse. The long nose fly mask works great for keeping his pinkish nose from sunburn. I like the newest design of the velcro closure compared to my old ones. I would think if you checked the sizing of an Arabian size and compared it to the youngster, you could come up with a size that would work. Bernice
