I have been using these on my mare to cover old scars, it keep the flies from bitting and opening her wounds. They stay on through all her play.

I Have an Icelandic horse and don't know what size to but for him, can you help me?
Jan G on Sep 6, 2013
Best Answer: I assume your horse is on the smaller side. I can tell you that for my 16.1 hand warmblood I buy a horse size and that works for front and back on him. For my 16.3 hand warmblood I buy a horse size for the front and warmblood for the rear. Try a cob or pony if he/she is smaller. The velco straps do have elastic in them so they can stretch a little. I love these boots! They work great in Florida with all the biting bugs we have here. Good luck!

How will I tell sizes Arab from Horse?
Barbara M on Jul 12, 2014
Best Answer: I have a Standardbred that the horse size fits well, however it's big on my smaller paint/quarter cross that has thinner legs. Hope this helps.

What size for my 17.1 h thoroughbred?
A shopper on Jun 28, 2015
Best Answer: I bought a size smaller than recommended and am satisfied with it. I use these daily on my mule who has an allergic reaction to the fly bites - without the wraps, his legs until they look like raw hamburger. But a size smaller than the sizing recommends worked best for us.
