one size fits all?
A shopper on Jun 28, 2015
Best Answer: There is only the one size. The only drawback is you have to pull front piece over the head. If you have a very large horse this might be a bit difficult. I would not be without though. It has made allnthe difference in being able to ride during fly seasons. I overall highly recommend this.

Can you use this by itself, without tack holding it in place?
A shopper on Nov 2, 2014
Best Answer: Not really. The neck piece needs to attach to the top of the bridle in order not to slide down the neck and the part of the neck piece needs to be attached to the saddle pommel, as well. It is the same for the back piece. It needs to be attached to the cantel in order to stay in place. If you were thinking of using it alone in the pasture or paddock, it is my belief that it is too fine for that. You wouldn't want your horse rolling in this.

I use mine for my driving horse. Most often just the neck piece with the Cashel sheer face mask.

Hope this helps.

Hi there.
I'm keen on the bug armour. I live in a hot climate. Does it stay cool underneath? and what material is over the loin area?
linda on Dec 28, 2014
Best Answer: Though our climate is not hot year round, the summer is very hot and humid. My horse has gotten very sweaty under many bug sheets. He has stayed cool under this, even during rides over an hour. The material over the loins is the same--soft, not scratchy. My only warning is that both pieces are on the small side, it slips off his butt and doesn't cover his whole neck when secured on bridle. My horse is only 16 hands. It does its job with adjusting. Good luck!

Can I buy just the front piece of the quite ride bug armor?. Only one piece?
Sonja C on Sep 2, 2014
Best Answer: Hi Sonja, I'm not sure if you can buy the front piece only, but I have been using the whole thing on my 25 year old Quarter Horse gelding when we trail ride, and he seems much more relaxed, with not having to worry about the horse flies.
I hope this helped. Good luck

I trail ride in my dressage saddle. Will this work with a dressage saddle?
A shopper on Jun 30, 2015
Best Answer: As long as your saddle has those little rings on each side so you can tie the net onto it. If you don't have those rings you might get by tying the strings to the pommel rings very loosely. The strings look like long shoelaces and they are plenty long enough to reach the pommel. Hope this helped answer your question. I love this sheet because it is big enough for a warmblood and stays put with a tail strap that slips under the tail..
