Rated 4 out of 5 by they're okay I just got the cavallo sport boot and had these in them. I tried without the gel pads first and then with them. Using them definitely seemed to make my horse more willing to pick his feet up higher, and just in general he seemed more comfortable. When he see's them out and I ask for his foot he seems to pick up his foot instantly w/ no complaint, when sometimes he pretends to ignore me a little. For the horse's sake I think they're worth every penny. But I have used these for about two weeks now and maybe it's just my horse, but his hooves are like wearing holes into the pads. The boot doesn't budge on his foot when I try to move it, but the pads are wearing out way faster than I expected. The pads are wearing out towards the back of the hoof, like where the hoof walls are on either of the frog. I want to see if putting duck tape there might help prevent it when I get my next set of gel pads. hope this helps. I think there definitely worth a try. October 11, 2011
