I use these on my pro eventing Lippizaner/Haflinger cross while practicing jumping and they act as GREAT shock absorbers! Plus if he hits the rail with his toe it doesn't hurt him!! Great great product. Im a pro eventer and i reccomend them!

I dont actually own a horse, but I go riding a lot! My instructor bought these for her horses for when she takes them up to the mountains to go trail riding. The horse I rode wore them and they worked perfectly! The one thing you have t mack sure of is to try not to let them get wet and then dusty. The straps won't stay on! Also, the straps were a little to long, so we had to cut them! When you first get them, make sure they dont make any sores! I totally recommend these!

I bought these boots about 1 year ago and really like them. My horse is barefoot and I want to protect her hooves from the hard, California terrain. They didn't hold up as well as I would have liked but all things considered, it is a 1,000 lb animal pounding down on them so keeping them new looking would be difficult. My mare (and Gelding - when he was alive R.I.P.) did just fine trotting and cantering on the trail which I thought was incredible. I thought they would be susceptible to tripping but no. And they get to canter quite fast on the trail as opposed to the ring.

I wanted shoes for trail riding, but don't go often enough to justify the cost of shoeing year round (I do trail ride year round) I decided to get these. They are easy to put on, and easy to take off. It comes with plastic things to help hold the outside velcro down. The included booklet says that those straps don't hold the boot on; that they're just there for extra closure. I'd agree. I never bothered putting the plastic things on mine, and on our last ride, one strap came undone while my mare was playing in the creek scooting the rocks around. The boot never loosened. My ONLY complaint is that since my mares' hoof height is 'short' she gets this clopping sound when she moves. Size 1 was too small, so she's in a size 2. It fits her hoof print, but I'll be purchasing inserts to take up some of that extra 'bottom' room so she doesn't clop so loudly. I'm glad I got these shoes! I recommenced them for somebody who needs shoes on occasion, but not regularly enough to be shod every time, like my mare :)

These boots are wonderful, I do a lot of trail riding through creeks and rivers, up the mountain side and i cover a lot of rocky areas. They stay on very well, my horse is more willing to go through the rocky spaces she is walking out and is no longer sore. Their easy to fit, to put on and take off. I wouldn't use any other boots.

this boot was wonderful! My horse had lost her shoes and i had a pair and my father had a pair so i slipped these boots on all fours and went and worked cows for almost 5 hours then went and cut calves in a pen for another hour...checked throughout the day the boots stayed nice and tight in rocky terrain and were great with the manuvers i had to put my horse through...i would recommend to anyone who wants a nice pair of boots...the terrain i worked in was very rocky and and muddy...easy cleaning with a water hose!!

reviewer at another site suggested ordering a size smaller than measured. i am doing that this round. i think her hoofprint may be enlarged with thick lamina from multiple laminitis over the years. a size smaller should fit tighter around the upper hoof area.
the horse seems to know the boots will protect her tender frog and steps right out without checking for rocks on the ground. works for me.

Good bye Boa's. My new pair of Simple Boots performed wonderfully on a recent extremely rough ride. Muddy, rocky, swollen, creeks,up hills and down they stayed on dispite all types of rough riding.

I have had my fill of broken laces on the Easyboot Boa's.
I have just taken one of the roughest rides in swollen creeks, loose rocks, muddy hill sides and my new Simple Boots stayed in place the entire three hour ride. I highly recommend this boot to all avid trail riders.

Have just used twice.First experience was wonderful. So easy to put on.I checked several times on the ride for rubbing and to see if it filled with sand or rocks. No problems. My mare would go right down the middle of rocky areas where she previously would try to go around even with shoes. She had sweated on the first ride and I didn't clean the boots.Sweat and sand mixed and dried where the cuff meets the pastern. It was a much slower, shorter and easier ride and I didn't check. She did
have open areas rubbed on her pasterns. I would say be sure to
clean them carefully, especially in the cuff area. I'm waiting till
she heals before I try them again.
I believe it to be my error at this
time.

I have a gelding with hoof deformities that the previous owner never took care of. it really hurt his legs and feet to wear shoes, but i do some trail work with him in terrain where he needed his feet protected. i love these boots. they dont slip, he walks with confidence, and they balance his weight. they relieve pressure on his legs that help prevent lameness in him. i'm very pleased with the results i've had with these. they are easy to get on, fit snuggly, and stay put! i've never lost a boot anywhere on the trails, even after loping. I totally recommend them.

I bought the boots for my thoroughbred and my husband's QH Draft a year and a half ago. We lived in Arizona at the time. We lived in a semi rocky area and I liked keeping our guys barefoot. Every time we rode, the boots were on and they worked great. I recommend the boots over shoing any day. They slip on and off easily, protect your horse's hooves and easily cleaned. I have used on all four hooves but normally use on only on the front. Since moving, we live in Texas (the past 7 months), I haven't used the boots very often but if we were to ride in a rocky area, the boots would definitely be used.

I love these boots. I pulled the shoes off my horse and needed some protection as he was quite tender. After much research I decided on the Simple boot for a couple of reasons ease of use and price. Ive never looked back. My horse wears them when we trail ride and he loves them. He moves more freely then he did when he had shoes on. Even at a full gallop the boots dont come off. I would recommend these boots to any horse owner!

My friend had a pair on the trail when my horse lost a shoe. They are so easy and my horses can stay barefoot when not in use. When we want to go riding it takes a minute to put them on and go. I can't live without them.

The velcro design makes this an easy boot to put on and take off. And it stays on! Easy care too, simply wash off if dirty.
