Is it good for barrel racing?

Best Answer: Yes, this is a good pad. Reinsman makes several different versions of barrel pads. Is there an issue, fit, size you are looking to solve?

Hi. I have a horse with very tall withers and am looking for a pad that will reduce pressure on his spine and also have a cut out for the withers. I use a barrel racing saddle. Is this a good pad for those issues?
A shopper on Aug 26, 2016
Best Answer: Hi, I bought this saddle pad for my daughter to use for contesting as well. I bought it to "create" withers as we have a halflinger/quarter horse cross and the saddle likes to roll side to side. It works well, no more rolling. With the split at the top, you get wither relief and the sides work independently from each other which allows the freedom of movement when moving fast or slow.
