Classic Equine BioFit Correction Saddle Pad
The Classic Equine BioFit pad is specifically designed to support horses with muscle atrophy behind the shoulder blade. It helps support the front of the saddle from collapsing in the area behind the shoulder as a result of muscle loss, ill saddle fit or conformation.
The strategic wedge placement of the BioFit correction saddle pad fills in the void area, offering extra support. It also works well for older horses with a diminishing topline or horses with very high withers.
A 7/8 top quality wool blend offers superior shock absorption and protection. Contoured design of the Classic Equine BioFit saddle pad molds to conform to your horses back for added comfort and improved saddle fit. Cut over withers for greater gullet clearance and spine relief.

Rated 5 out of 5 by love it This is awesome for my horse. He has narrow shoulders with high withers and this corrects the saddle placement. I got the longer of the two and it is really long so unless you have a really large saddle go with the shorter pad. November 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by saved me from having to buy another saddle i used this because my saddle was too wide for my horse in the front. the front would end up laying on the wither. that is so bad for the horse. with this pad, it fixed everything, i didnt have to purchase another saddle, which i had come to love. the saddle sat upright (not too high either)exactly where it should be. and it did not effect my seat or my riding. i did not notice any difference or feel that my saddle was any wider. my paint had withers that where a tad high, and this pad after about three rides formed to his back and body. i advise not switching this pad between horses as it does form to the horse. the price is up there though, but was worth it. it saved me in cost in having to purchase a new saddle and was worth it for ultimate comfort for my horse, or messing around with build up pads that can cause slipping. i did not experience slipping or sliding and i was doing lots of arena training with my horse, slide stops, spins, lopes, runs, cantering side passes..and warm ups. even a couple of days when he was feeling fresh and had a couple "bucking fits" early on, on the first day with this pad.(that was because of behavior issues, the bucking had nothing to do with the pad, i want to assure you the pad is very comfy for the horse the first time. my horse was a stallion who was abused and had bucking issues.) and even then, it did not slip or slide. i recommend letting them sweat in it a couple of times, and it forms wonderfully. i purchased mine from another site, and i must say i regret it, as i paid more. at the time i did not know about this site. now i pretty much order everything from here if they carry it. very well built. no seams coming off. dries fast. no over sweating and i was training in the texas heat at the time. i do wish the price would come down a bit though. Rated 5 out of 5 by Saved our horses' withers and backs We run a trail riding business and have several horses with high withers and dropped shoulders. We were having problems with sore withers, even with good quality saddles. We tried all sorts of pads and configurations with gels pads.....nothing worked as well as this biofit pad. We now own several of these. No more sore horses! Great pad! June 11, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Amazing Pad Worked great on my gelding. He used to be stiff while riding and the saddle put pressure on his shoulders before I bought this pad. After using this pad, he is a lot more flexible, the pressure is relieved and he enjoys being ridden more. This pad has worked great for him! March 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolute best pad I've EVER used! My paint horse has been to the chiropractor several times, and was battling back issues prior to getting this pad. After camping for several trips and purchasing many pads, I came across the Classic Equine Biofit pad. My horse has not been sore one day after riding, from walking to canter work since I used this pad. I have three different horses with three different saddles, and this pad works with each horse. I will NEVER use another pad beside Classic Equine as long as I own horses! March 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just What I Was Looking For I have an Appendix mare who is very narrow through her withers. I would find any western saddle, no matter how well it fit her would slip back and roll because her withers just wouldn't hold the saddle in place. I bought this pad, and it was a little pricey, but definitely well worth it. I have had no problems with her saddle fit now, and she is so much more comfortable. I like how the felt does not roll due to slipping. I could not have been more pleased. I love all of the Classic Equine products, not excluding this one! January 27, 2012

Love this pad. I purchased it for my 23 year old Paso Fino and it fit him perfectly!

How thick is this pad? My mare has high withers for a quarter horse and she has a white spot on her wither where the pressure from the saddle is. I have purchased a new custom saddle that is fit to me and her but she still has the spot and when I unsaddle it is dry in that area. Would this pad work in takng the pressure off that area?
Lagwenda B on Aug 27, 2013
Best Answer: the pad is at least an inch but the extra pads at the shoulder area extend out another at least half an inch. My quarter horse has a high wither also and had dry spots just behind where the saddle was "bridging" This pad was not the answer for my horse, More recently I bought a 'bridge pad" that is thinner at the front and back and thicker in the center of the saddle area. It appears this pad is helping the saddle contact more evenly.

Is this a good barrel pad?
kim e on Dec 6, 2013
Best Answer: I got this pad for my narrow shouldered(high withered if you will) barrel horse. Although she is a QH , she is built much like a thoroughbred. I feel this could be a good pad however it did not work for me. First, it sat too far back on her therefore my saddle was not in the appropriate position. Second, when I turned a barrel at faster speeds my saddle would slip to the side enough to where I had to stop and slide it back on. Although I think the idea of the pad is great, it did not work for me. I also tried it on my other horse who doesn't necessarily need it, I had the same effects as listed above. I ended up selling it as I had no use for it. The end result was me having to get a new barrel saddle and just my regular classic equine wool pad. Hope this helps as the pads are a little spendy, good luck.

how do I know what size saddle blanket to get?
A shopper on Mar 16, 2015
Best Answer: If you have a shorter backed horse like an Arabian, go with the smaller one. But I have the larger one and it fits both of my girls (ones a TB and the other is a Friesian/Hanoverian) so they have very different back types. And it fits any other horse I ride.

Will this pad work with a young horse who's wither is not as muscular on the right side?
A shopper on Mar 3, 2015
Best Answer: It would, but I think you would still have the issue of lop-sidedness due to the fact the pad has correction padding on each side. I would recommend getting a withers pad and retrofitting it to only the right side of your existing pad to counteract the ill-fit until you can build the muscle up enough on the right side.

My 19 year old arabian mare has one shoulder lower than the other, will the padding be to much for the shoulder that is higher? Also what is the interior made of, gel?
Mimi H on Aug 18, 2014
Best Answer: Hello. The extra padding is foam bonded in between main pad and covering felt material. It is a good quality pad but not sure if it's gonna be too much for good shoulder. You wont know unless you try? Padding can be removed by cutting the felt cover off part way and flipping it back and cutting out pad but it's not easy cause I did it.and you spoil the looks of a high quality pad. Sorry can't be more help.

Do they make a larger than 32 saddle pad?
Cjharlene T on Mar 26, 2014
Best Answer: Their website only lists two sizes with this one being the largest. I use it on my large quarterhorse that is 15.1 hands and weighs 1200 lbs. She is very broad and uses a saddle with full quarterhorse bars. The pad fits very nicely. I hope this information is helpful.

Is there an english equivalent to this pad??
A shopper on May 11, 2015
Best Answer: Not built into the English pad itself - people usually use a corrective half pad such as the Roma Protek Saddle Pad with Lift Front (item E006321) or the Wintec Comfort Saddle Pad With Lift (item E004133).

How do I keep the pad from slipping off the cutoff hole over the withers ? I already use a breast collar but I ride up & down hills. I tried tightening up the breast collar but it still slips over the withers.
A shopper on Jul 2, 2015
Best Answer: We would suggest trying a non-slip pad liner. Check out item #'s WIH11 and E008650
