Why did you choose this? Store
Trainer nearby said this is the only pad he will ride with. He has used his daily for 2 years and rides 8-10 horses a day and the pad is still going strong... so I know it will last!

bought a new saddle

Saw it in a tack store as a round cut but I wanted a square cut pad. Seemed like it will provide good padding and support.

My new horse has mutton withers, and carries a little extra weight. My thick pad/blanket combos really let the saddle slip. How do you feel this would work?

Best Answer: I'm sorry, we have no personal experience with this item. I would suggest reading customer reviews and ratings.

is this good quality?
A shopper on Nov 12, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, it's good quality. It does require a small amount of care, it should be wiped down with a damp cloth and allowed to dry after each use. It only takes a couple of minutes and will help it last. I'm very happy with mine, now eight people at my barn are using it.

will this pad work for a sway back? I have tried a bridge pad and it was too much.
A shopper on Nov 8, 2014
Best Answer: Unfortunately, it is hard to say for sure, as each horses back and every saddle is different. I use this pad on all my horses with all my saddles, except my English saddles, and i have quite the assortment of horses.

The foam on this pad does a pretty good job of adjusting to the back of each horse is put on.

A shopper on Aug 9, 2016
Best Answer: It's not quite 1 inch thick: it has a 1/8" wool felt top and a 3/4" closed cell foam bottom.
