Why did you choose this?

This is my first time using these. They were small for my horse and I had to exchange for a larger size.

These boots are the staple of the barn, when a pair is getting old, I always replace them with these. They have the double Velcro closure, which keeps them from being rubbed off.

Wanted to try something a bit different and this was highly recommended.

can you use these boots for the hinds as well or just for the front? Are they durable?
Beth L on Mar 30, 2014
Best Answer: Beth, I use these splint boots on the front only. I use classic equine skid boots on the hind, but only when I am working on or performing sliding stops. I do not use them for trail riding, but I do use splint boots on the front, especially younger horses. I have found the classic equine boots to be durable. I will also add here that when I use the skid boots, I prefer the leather ones. Deb

I have a mare with an over stretched ligament. I was told to put her in a knee brace for light work. Is this a boot ok to work in? If so, how do i measure for size? Thanks Mary
Mary T on Jun 8, 2015
Best Answer: These boots are not knee braces; they support the splint area at the inside of the cannon bone. That said, here is a link to the sizing chart from the product description:

If you need a knee boot, you may wish to consider the Back on Track Therapeutic Knee Boots (item E005769).
