Cavesson is separate from the headstall so creates two layers of leather at the horses poll. Expected it to be part of the headstall and padded but is not. I am returning this item. May 10, 2012
    Rated 3 out of 5 by not impressed this should have been a nice bridle. other reviews said so. it is stiff and cheap feeling. we have already soaked it once in oil & it still has kinks in it. the oakbark color is way dark and it is not padded on the top of the headstall, where i really wanted it (the browband & cavesson are padded). overall, very bad quality for the price! I have paid less for a nicer bridle, probably should have bought elsewhere. January 12, 2012
