Why did you choose this? Store
Worked great at first, then started to not spray near the end of the second year. We simply had to have another one. We wont go through the seasons without it.

Have a farm, need it for the garage area
murray h on Apr 2, 2014
Where would you install this? I have a large paddock with three horses in it. They hang out mostly where I feed them, would you want pesticides spraying on their eating area? Does it need power ? Does it have to be out of their reach ?
Laurie H on Mar 9, 2015
Best Answer: Hi,
It runs off batteries, it would likely have to be out of there reach or someone might try to eat it and break it. I don't think it would work well outside open to breezes, I also wouldn't want to spray pesticides on your horses food or even in a stall since it has to be at 7 ft high and would get their eyes. I have it in my barn aisle by the cross ties and they are good by entrances too to help keep bugs out. Unfortunately I have yet to find any system that will make your life pest free but this along with other things is helpful.

Is this product safe to use indoors?
A shopper on Jul 10, 2015
Best Answer: I have one in my sunroom where I keep food and water for my cats and is an area where my cats frequent. i have had no issues. Would just make sure the area is well ventilated and spray directed away from food/water.
I do not think I would want this in a main living area because of the odor.

Can this be used safely on a covered- but open porch? I've used the mosquito one & it was very safe.....even with kids & food around
A shopper on Mar 25, 2015
Best Answer: I couldn't say for sure on its safety around small pets/children/food - I've only used it in horse stalls to keep the insects out during warm weather. I would take a look at the ingredients and perhaps check with your vet/pediatrician. Personally I don't think that I would use for any other purpose than the horse stalls but that may not be a fair opinion without further inquiry by respective professionals.

how does it hang up and how far does it spray?
Karen D on Jul 29, 2015
Best Answer: There is a hole in the back of the dispenser. I used a nail or screw to hang them about 10 feet off the ground. I put one in each stall and placed it so that it would not spray directly on the feed and hay area. The spay is a fine mist and I'm not sure how far it sprays. My barn has a breezeway down the middle and the 2 stalls are on the same side. The wall between the stalls is only solid up about 4 feet with a wire panel the rest of the way up. 2 dispensers were enough to work well to keep the flies and mosquitoes at bay. I have also used one in a 3 sided shed and that worked pretty good too. I have used these for about 15 years. My first set lasted for about 10 years.

how far out in yard it works from the house?
krupa t on May 9, 2014
Best Answer: I do not use these sprayers around the house. I use in my barn. I have one in each stall. The stall windows are closed, but the stall windows on the other side of the barn are all open. It still keeps the flies away for the most part. This is my 2nd set of battery operated fly sprayers. The others lasted about 10 years.

can it be mounted sideways?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2015
Best Answer: I don't know, I see no reason why not, it's on a timer, which is activated every 15 min. there is nothing to leak. Go for it.

Can this be used with my horse in the stall?
A shopper on Jun 23, 2015
Best Answer: I don't have a horse or a stall-we do have a cat, and us, that hangs around the Kit--doesn't seem to bother him, or us!!

It's very effective for our mosquito control--not sure about the "2015" flies right now, but would hate to know how bad it could be without the Kit!!

not dangerous to humans or pets ?
A shopper on Sep 26, 2015
Best Answer: I have used these battery operated sprayers in the stall areas and also in a loafing shed for years. I haven't had any problems with them. I always put the sprayers up high and make sure that they do not spray towards the hay/feed part of the stall.

Will product contaminate feed?
Stan B on May 21, 2015
Best Answer: I have used these for years and have never had an issue. Any open feed is always in a covered container and the feed comes in bags that are not regular paper, but are some kind of plastic material. They really cut down on the flies and mosquitoes and spiders. One set of batteries will last a whole fly season. The canisters last about a month.

what is coverage area?
Linda W on Feb 16, 2015
Best Answer: I have a 24 X 36 garage that is attached to my house. Before I had the fly kit the flies would come into my house every time we opened the door. Since using Country Vet in the garage, Flies are no longer a problem. I also have one in my basement with room freshner to keep my basement smelling fresh.
