start at the bottom, section out the mane and tail and move your way up. less pulling. it gets all the tangles out easily. I keep my tack in a garage like space out of the rain and still has not broken or torn

I used this brush on a friend's Morgan with a double mane and heavy tail that had not been brushed for some time, with no problems!
If you use a little common sense when using it, it won't break!
I bought one for each of my three horses, and have recommended them to friends as well!
My QH gelding has a heavy mane and tail, and it works beautifully on him, but again, it goes back to that common sense thing. If the horses' mane/tail is really tangled, start at the bottom, section it out, and work your way up! The horse will be more comfortable (less pulling!) and you will work more efficiently with less chance of breaking the brush or comb or whatever you are grooming with.

I bought 4 of them and 3 of the handles broke immediately. The brush works better than any I've ever used though! It is the only brush that can work its way through my double maned Gypsy Vanner. So I'm ordering 4 more but this time I will reinforce the handle before I use them.

I was at a horse show with my friends and I used their tail brush. It worked great! I went to the store to go buy one. On the way home the handle fell off! Very disappointed!Apperantly my friends' btail and mane brush is still in one peice and they've had it for over a year now so some break and others don't...

This brush is very gentle on my horse's mane and has gotten all the tangles out every time. After my horse rolled in the mud, this brush got her mud covered, tangled tail brushed out in about 1 minute. It has never pulled out her hair. Normal combs take forever, but this works so fast! I'll never use another mane comb again!

My handle broke off while trying to brush out a tail. Its fine for manes, but tails just kill it.

This is a great brush, does very well to get tangles out of my horse's tail, which is rather thick. I purchased this brush a little over a year ago...today, I saw the exact same brush for sale at the Dollar Tree. So my only complaint is the price!

I got this brush and I was very disapointed. It was a very low quality, and obviously will not last long. I could have gone to my local drugstore and bought a hairbrush for a dollar that would work better.

This brush has a nice shape and feel and brushes well. That's why I bought another one after the first one broke. But the two-piece handle design does not hold up. The second one broke soon after we got it also.
Spend your money on something that will last.

This product is awesome! I have had it for about 6 months now, and no teeth have broken, and it gets even the toughest tangles out quickly! I reccomend this brush!

I've bought this product twice and each time the brush broke within 3 weeks. I'd be brushing my horse's mane and the teeth part would pop out. The brush is cheap, but unfortuantely so is the quality. If your horse has a really thin mane, this brush might be fine. Otherwise, I would go with something stronger.

I Always Used To Buy Mane & Tail Brushes & Combs, But They All Starting Falling Apart After The First Few Uses. Instead... Buy Regular Hairbrushes At The Store. They Work Great & Won't Come Apart. I've Had Mine For Several Months & Use Them Every Other Day. No Bristles Have Come Out So Far.

THe price looked right, the curved style is a great idea, how ever I used it twice and the rubber with the bristles in it came out of the brush. I loved the work it did on the mane and tail, but it sure didn't last long enough to make it worth the price.

This brush lasted about 6 gentle mane and tail brushings before it came apart. The glue that keeps the bristle portion to the handle is NOT sufficient.

This is a must have brush for your horse. It is the only one that I have ever found to successfully brush out my horses tail with out damaging it. It has held up for 4 years with out loosing a bristle. Truly the best manetail brush on the market!
