I need to make sure this mask is large enough we need one for a horse size 900-1200 lbs will this one work?
Norma H on Jun 25, 2014
Best Answer: It really depends on the size of his head ..I got a medium for my paint that is over 16 H stocky but has a small head ..like in fact sometimes arab flymasks have worked ...on my 15h QH 1000+ with a huge head this medium would probably not work ....this fly mask is better than ones I have paid almost 3 times the price for ...

I have a bald faced horse and my vet wants really small mesh(the smallest tiniest holes are the best) to help protect her eyes from the sun . are the wholes really small on this or any of your fly masks?
karen fowler c on Jun 22, 2015
Best Answer: I have ordered a few of these fly masks. The mesh used is similar to the Cashel fly masks, if you've seen them. Maybe a little more stiff, but not bad. My gelding has a large blaze and pink nose and this mask has kept him from getting sunburned. I would recommend this product - for the fit, durability and price.

what size would I need for 1200LB 16 hand quarter horse?
tommy m on May 13, 2014
Best Answer: I would suggest you go with the large. I bought the medium for my 1100 lb, 15 hand, big boned quarter horse and it's almost too small. The large would have fit him better.

I need to dye a fly mask yellow (since I am having a hard time finding a yellow fly mask) do you know if this is treated to resist water?
Sandra S on Jul 11, 2015
Best Answer: I honestly don't think it would work very well. If you really want to change the color, spray painting it would probably be the best option (just make sure that you do it correctly so it doesn't fill in the holes in the mesh) but a typical dye wouldn't stick to it :) Hope that helps!
