Awesome ride!, 1/29/2012

Sandyzfarm from Richmond, VA

I bought this saddle on a bit of a whim, but I am glad I did! I have always ridden English but have retired to trail riding using my mammoth donkeys, whose flat backs make saddle-fitting almost impossible. Saw this one was made for flatter-backed horses and mules and took a chance. It's a super comfortable saddle and, with the poleys, feels very secure on the trail, especially on hills. I love the horn! Very useful for hanging a saddle bag and for resting your hands. Poleys and seat position are very comfortable. It seems to fit the donkeys well, and they are comfortable in it. Very well made too.... thick leather, nice heavy brass rings, and lots of them. This saddle is quite a bit heavier than my English saddles, which would be the only con for me. But overall, a nice package!

comfortable saddle, 6/17/2008

CMCastle from Folsom, LA

I liked the way the saddle holds me in the seat. It gave me an idea of what and Aussie saddle is like, in case I would like to invest in a more expensive one later. It fit my horse comfortably. The stirrups were hard to adjust and I suggest you by an Aussie neoprene girth and pad, also.
