Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not as great as they seem. These boots, though idea of is great, are not all they crack up to be. While they look nice, they are cheaply made and quickly begin to fall apart after little use. I'm personally on my second pair after I had to return my first because the inner soles were coming apart. Though I've only had this second pair for a short time (About 3-4 mos.), the inside lining is already coming loose. Like another reviewer complained, this loose fabric makes the boots very tough to take off. Though they appear to be quite nice, I do not feel that they are suitable for any serious work. They are cheaply made and not nearly worth the price they are sold for. September 3, 2009
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible quality but looks good. This is my second pair in one year. The first pair after 3 months of use the lining came off at the heels and the inside sole became loose. My foot get stuck when it is time to pull them out because fo the loos lining. It is very unconfortable to wear. The store exchange the first pair from me at no charge. Now the store does not want to replace the second pair six months later. The boots do not weather well and do not last. Do not buy them. At this point I think it is best to buy the real Dubarry Galway boot for twice the price. Hope this helps you making the right decision. June 24, 2009
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not Impressed I've only had the boots for over a month and they already look and feel like I've had them for 10 years. Inside lining coming off and they're not as water proof as they say they are. In general it's one of the worst boots I have bought yet. Save your money. May 24, 2009

Warm and waterproof!! Also easy for hiking.

I've wanted these boots for a long time. Bought Arctic mucks which are very light and very warm but overheat my feet unless its the "dead" of winter which it hasn't been. Plus they look nice and muck boots are black and not very pretty. And yeah, sometimes I want to look nice, not just cozy.

What is the circumference measurement of the calf?
Thank you
Debbie A on Sep 17, 2013
Best Answer: I am interested in this boot, but also want to know the measurement of the calf. Some of us have wide calves.

Are these waterproof from top to bottom? How about walking comfort? Need them for both riding and hiking.
Sierra A on Sep 3, 2014
Best Answer: I wear these all day at work in the Pacific Northwest (wet here and I work outside) and to walk my dogs in tall wet grass. I have waded through small creeks and through water jumps and stayed dry. Usually replace after a season about 6 months of daily use. Okay for winter trail riding but tend to slouch during dressage type riding. I'm on my third pair and I love them. Usually have one pair for fashion and one pair for horsey stuff. Run true to size with room for winter woolly socks. Too warm hot for late spring/ summer use.

Can I put Mink Oil on these boots for extra protection from water? I wear them in the mud and they get wet a lot from washing horses.

Thank you,
Lynn Mac

Best Answer: Mine get mud - water - manure - just totally trashed! Wear them every day to barn! I clean mine frequently and use waterproof conditioner on them. Mink oil might change the color but doubt will have negative effect.

are these comfortable to use with english saddles. will it protect my legs?
lisa h on Jun 29, 2014
Best Answer: I love these boots and wear them all the time. I primarily ride English and will wear them with my English saddle. The only time that I have gotten a rub from wearing them is when I wear shorts instead of longer pants, and, even then, it only occurs slightly on one leg. I've worn them both on trail rides and in the ring doing flat work or jumping. My boots are holding up well and aren't falling apart. They are definitely worth the purchase in my opinion.

what is the cold weather rating?
Tori D on Nov 12, 2015
Best Answer: I'm not sure what the rating number would be but these are excellent boots for cold, wet weather. Though heather they are quite waterproof and layered with good socks keep you warm. I do have other super insulated boots I had gotten for riding in extreme cold weather but they are very clunky and I now just use the Dublin boots.

do the dublin boot come in a slim size?
kathy m on Oct 21, 2015
Best Answer: I bought them for my daughter who had the skinniest legs on the planet. I bought the boots a couple of years ago so I don't remember if they came in slim, I don't think they did. The regular ones fit her fine. She still wears them all the time, even when she's not at the barn.
