The size chart is off. They run big in the calf. I ordered an XS, because my calf size is 12 in. I had to return them, because I have a really big foot (size 9)and the half chap wouldn't fit around by boot. So if you want to avoid this, measure the circumfrance of your boot, add two inches, and select the size range that includes that number. If you measure your calf, and that size range is much too big, either look for a different pair of boots, or halfchaps.
Other than that, they're really nice. They help grip the saddle really well. I haven't had any problems with the snaps, but all the suede on the inside wears off after a wile, and they turn a greyish white. Also, dirt gets stuck in the ribbed part, and its really hard to get out.

I thought that these chaps were great! They look a lot better in person. The only thing wrong, was that I ordered a medium which I thought would be perfect according to the size chart, but it turns out that the chaps run very large around the calf. Also the buttons at the bottom are hard to snap. So now I have to return them

these are great, perfect fit even for my long legs (5 7' 1/2) the only complaint is the snap, almost impossible, and the elastic that passes under the boot is maybe a little too stretchy, after i zip them up i have to pull them down to lay against my boot. these are great.

I got them last July. They have stayed beautiful. I have only been using them once or twice a week but they are AMAZING. My only objection is that the buttons on the sides don't button unless you press them REALLY hard at the PERFECT angle. They are really comfortable. All pants and boots fit with them. When I wear them with jeans, they kind of role up my jeans. They work well, they fit well, and I LOVE them. If I EVER have to buy new half chaps I will DEFINATELY be buying these again.

I love them, I have had them for over THREE, 3, YEARS.
When I first bought them I had to get a size larger than what acually fit my leg better because I couldnt zip the zipper up over my calf! my calf isnt that big either, I would say I have a medium size calf.

These were the first pair of half chaps I bought when I started riding and 5 years later the zipper just started splitting. They are not as pretty as they once were, but for numerous falls and everyday use for the past year I'd say thats not too bad. I will be definitely be buying another pair :)

I got the black ones..I love them...This is the first half chaps I have gotten and was wondering if I would still get the same "stickiness" without the full chap...they are great!!! They look great and are real airy!

I got a pair of these chaps almost two years ago, I ride in them at least five times a week and do all kinds of barn chores in them all the time, they are holding up beautifully! A tiny bit shorter than I would like (I have long legs) but other than that they fit great. The stitching around the zipper does come loose but nothing is falling apart, just cut off the loose strings once in a while. I highly recommend these chaps! They are very durable; if I actually cleaned them for once then they would look brand new! I love these chaps

These are good chaps at a low price. I only had 2 prooblems with them. I wear a size 9 womens boot, but my calf is less than 12in. around. I got the size thatwould fit my calf, but the bottom of the chap wouldn't fit around my boot. There is 2 in. difference between the bottom and the top of the chap. They were also a little too long due to the increased size. The other problem is that the suede rubs off after use, but overall they are very nice chaps I would deffently recomend these!

I had these for about half a year now, and they have held up really well. The price is great, and if you don't do rated shows like me and just do local/schooling shows, the judges don't mind them and they are very easy to grip your leg around the horse. I love these so much, and once you put them on they are so comfortable, you don't want to ever ride without them. The only thing though, one of mine broke. The buckle was so tough to get off just one time, and I ripped it off and it just broke and was stuck to the other part of the buckle (hard to explain) but anways, I'm buying another pair!(: I really reccomend these.

I have bought 3 pairs of these chaps over the years and they hold up pretty good. They are also pretty nice for lower level shows. The only problem I ever had was on one pair the stitching that held the zipper on started to rip off. Over all these are good chaps for the price.

These half chaps are great! They look wonderful and are great quality at an affordable price! I am very happy with them. They are also nice enough for schooling shows! If you're looking for a comfortable, easy-fit, great looking half chap, then these are for you. They come in black and brown. I wear mine with black paddock boots and they look great together!! (:

These are my first pair of half-chaps and I am very satisfied with them. They look nice, are easy to put on and grip my saddle/horse wonderfully. They are also a very reasonable price! I have not had them long so I don't know how well they hold up, but from my expirence I would say they will last a while with my type of riding. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a decent pair of affordable comfortable and nice-looking chaps.

I just received these chaps and was pleasantly surprised at how nice they are. They fit well over my jeans and look very nice on. Im looking forward to testing them in the saddle though I have been using suede half chaps for years and know these will be just as great.
I have a 15 calf and ordered a large. They fit nice and snug over my jeans Im glad i didnt go with the medium. That would have been too tight.
The one fault I find with these is that the elastic on the bottom kind of gapes and isnt snug. Eventually, I expect that when walking around in these, the elastic will shift under the heel and wear through. But its a nice thick quality elastic so maybe that wont happen so soon
Meanwhile, Im very happy with my purchase! These are very nice!

Ive had these chaps for almost seven years now, and they have held up REALLY well with everyday riding from jumping to trails. Nice close fit, and the covered zipper is really nice. Great quality, great price!

I am 53 with a 14 12 calf and the Medium fits around my calve quite nicely. Nice close fit with give thanks to the sback panel and they feel VERY nice. NOT bulky. Although a little tall for me at 16, they still fit near perfect. I purchased the brown and the color is MUCH deeper than the picture, very pretty and matches my brown Saxon Paddocks boots nicely. Only time will tell about longlasting quality but first impressions and fit are very encouraging.

These are high qulity,very well made chaps,BUT the size chart was inaccurate for me.It was supposd to have a 1314 calf but it was definatly not 13.So they were too large for me,but they are really nice chaps anyways.I highly reccomend them.

I have had a pair of these half chaps for over a year and the only problem I have had was when the stiching around the zipper can loose but with a little string and a needle you can fix them in no time! They are extremely comfy and durable I have done everthing in these chaps!!!!!

I love these half chaps. I had them for three years and they broke just a couple months ago. They are so comfortable. I have the ariat working type boots where they are bigger than paddock boots and they are tough to button over the boot but they stretched out to fit around it. I have larger calves because I have a lot of muscle in my legs and they still fit great.

I love these half chaps. I have had them for three years and unfortunatley they wore out. They last much longer than other suede half chaps though! They do not fit on Ovation paddock boots. But they fit perfectly with my ariats.

These are some great chaps. Id totally recommend them to a friend, family, or anyone around horses. However, the ribbed part seems to trap horse shavings from stalls, and dont always wash out, and if you were to get a pair, Id reccomend buying a size or so bigger so they dont shrink as much as they did with me. 8 Great product, however!

I got the black chaps and I have been riding in them for 3+ years now and they are starting to wear, but are still going strong material wise. They are a comfortable fit and stretch anyway you want them too. I feel comfortable running on two feet as fast as I could go with these on my legs! I strongly recomend them!

Ive had these for a couple months now, and I love them! Theyre great for winter nights and hot summer days. They have the comfort and style factor, and the Spanish tops makes my legs look slimmer, and what rider wouldnt like that They can be a little hard to get on over that bump where the ankle of your boot begins, but overall theyre pretty easy to put on and take off. When Im riding in them bareback I definately feel closer to my horse and he seems to respond well when Im wearing them. These are great and Id recommend them to anyone!

I also just got these, and theyre awesome for the price. These are some of the most comfortable half chaps I have ever owned. They also stretch and I can wear them for a long time because they will stretch to fit my leg as they grow.

I just got these, but they are very comfortable and stretch nicely. I have large calves, but these fit comfortably over jeans. They are easy onoff, and look nice! For the prcie, theyre incredible.
