Why did you choose this?
I am beginner and the instructor said to I need a 1" heal and no arch. Do these boots qualify?
Best Answer: Hello, the heel is no more than 1" and there is little to no arch on this boot.
Do you wear half chaps with these?
Best Answer: Over the boots? No. They're tall boots. They run small through the calf area though.
are these good quality? because I am starting to ride English and I need good starter boots. also are these good for a larger leg too? thank you!
Best Answer: These boots are fantastic for mucking stalls and general barn use. I tried to ride in them though and they are NOT good for riding because your feet are not secure enough in these boots. I would suggest you get a nice lace-up boot for riding instead. Also, they definitely would be very tight on a larger calf.
are they rubber or leather? What inexpensive english boot would be good for a larger leg?
Best Answer: Karen,
They are rubber construction. I have found them to be great working in inclement weather at my barn. When it rains there, it is quite muddy. I have found these boots not only durable but warm in cold weather. I have used them when riding and they are very flexible. They clean up well and so far, haven't lost their luster. They can never replace tall leather boots, but they are very affordable and decent quality. I cannot address the second question you ask. Good luck in your search.
Some reviews say they run small. Do they run small in the foot size or calf size? I don't know if I should get the same as my regular foot size or one up...
Best Answer: They run small in the calves, but I still went a size up in the foot for fear that a size smaller would be accompanied by a smaller calf fit. I would advise the same, because they're about a half size too big on the foot but so tight on the calves that there's no chance of coming off. I honestly have never really been bothered by the foot being too big - plus it gives more room for thick socks in the winter because these rubber boots aren't very insulating so thick socks are a must. I hope this helps!
Need rubber riding boots to double as rain boots. Height 12" but calf 16". Would it be possible to buy such a pair? If so how long before delivery? (there is no rush, required for spring 2015) and cost?
my calves are slim but my feet are wide. I would wear a size 8.5 in a regular shoe. What size do you recommend in the tall waterproof riding boot?
If I wear EU 42, calf about 38cm wide with 40+ height...which size should I pick?
Best Answer: EU 42 is approximately a size 8.5 US. These boots do not come in half sizes. It looks like your best bet would be the size 9 regular calf (15 inches circumference)? Although we cannot guarantee fit in advance, that size looks to be the closest to the measurements you provided.
Are they rubber?
Best Answer: Not a rubber like the muck boots that crack, but more like a water proof vinyl. Nice beginner boot, wipe off easy, waiting for my kids feet to quit growing before we buy expensive leather boots. Good for practice.
What's the circumference on the wide option?
Best Answer: Very small, had to send them back. About 15"
what is the height of this boot?
Best Answer: The height of the size 5 Regular is 16 1/8"
What type of toe does it have in terms of protection from a horse stepping on it etc. is it flimsy or thicker?
Best Answer: I wouldn't call them flimsy but it would definitely be felt if you get stepped on
