Why did you choose this?
Are these waterproof from top to bottom?
Best Answer: Hi! My mom got these for me for Christmas. We are in Texas, so we don't really have a lot of water to deal with, we've been in a drought forever! But I haven't had any issues... I did get knocked in the mud earlier in the spring by a crazy horse and my boots got covered in it but cleaned up just fine. I would say yes but you can always treat them with a waterproofing treatment to be on the safe side. I wear these all the time and they are holding up very well.
I have 6.5 size feet and 17in circumference calves, does anyone know the calf circumference measurement is?
Do they fit if you have a wide calf?
Best Answer: I bought these boots in a size 6 &I wear them mainly in the cooler/cold months. They are a little wider in thefoot bed than my other boots, so I do wear a little thicker sock with them. The calf is adjustable & they are VERY comfortable. Dublin makes a nice, sturdy boot. I wear them for chores at the barn & for riding. They are a great buy & will last for years! Susan
Can some one tell me how tall they are ?
Best Answer: Hi Deb,
I am 5'7" and they do not come to the knee like a formal riding boot. They are tall. I find them much more comfortable to work and run around in than my regular riding boots.I also wear them to do errands and get many compliments. They run about a half size large. I love love love these boots. Will buy them over and over.
The pair i have now have the lace hanging down the side of the boot.. Do these have this ad its tucked in or don't they have it? Ronnie
Best Answer: I have two pair of these and love them. Yes the lace is there, it's tucked in, and that's what I do when I wear them. or just bring it about half way up and catch it in the velcro and let it hang from there. The long lace comes in handy if you are wearing bulkier pants or big socks, I have to let it all the way out to get them on. I got so many compliments on these, from non horse people too.
What is the tread like on these? Are they comfortable for walking? I need them to be comfortable for riding, but also for hiking.
Best Answer: Sierra,
My wife wears these regularly for her cross country and english practice. She gives them an 8/10 on comfort and she is picky with boots due to flat feet. Comfort level for riding and wearing around the barn is high for her, she likes the tread for wear around the arena but says they would not make a great hiking boot due to the highly wrapping.
Is there enough heel lip to hold a spur?
Best Answer: I have worn spurs with these boots. The heel is a bit wide so I did have to stretch out the spur a bit, but the spurs stayed in place.
I love these boots, and wear them the minute the weather starts to get cold. Everyone in my barn has bought a pair as well, and we all have named it, the Ashwin boot. I highly recommend these boots.
Shaft height please on this book?
Best Answer: Not as high as a formal riding boot; just above the calf. These are my 'go to' boots for everything I do, other than ride. I don't ride in them as they have a thicker sole than my riding boots. But they are good for EVERYTHING else I do outside, and they look nice; and they're WARM and WATERPROOF. And snow can't get in! And they don't slip in the snow! If these ever wear out I'll get a second pair. I've used them in Massachusetts weather and Colorado weather. Seriously awesome. And this is unsolicited.
i wear a size 9 and have 13" calves. Does anyone know how small these can be adjusted? i don't want them to be baggy.
Best Answer: I believe you could tighten the boots just to close up the laced area. Also, you can tighten the leather tab at the top a bit more. I'm not sure with a size 9 how wide the calf area is for that boot.
My calf is 14.75. Will a 8 1/2 fit? Dublin Pinnacle Boot
I'm looking for a comfortable tall boot to wear trail riding in the spring/summer/fall. I already have a good insulated winter boot for the lovely Illinois freeze. Are these meant for cooler temps or could they be worn year-round? Thanks!
Best Answer: This boot can be worn year-round.
