I have been pining over a new pair of all purpose tall boots for a while and when i got these for christmas i was so happy! They truly are beautiful and great quality. unfortunitally i couldn't get my leg in them! The The ankle section has no give to it so after 15 minutes of trying to get my foot in the boot i decided that they really weren't going to be what i needed. Really wish they had worked though because they are lovely. Maybe if you have skinny ankles this is would be a great boot for you!

I love these boots. They are beautiful, well made, and the foot part is very comfortable, but I guess I must have very large calves, because they do not fit around them. I'll have to take them to a cobbler to see if they can widen them at the top without ruining them, because I really want to wear them! I wish, in the description, they had put in the calf measurement. Or else offered a larger calf size.

I absolutely LOVE these boots! Very functional, attractive, and durable...gonna order a 2nd pair as I'm afraid they'll stop making this style! Calves do run lg but very adjustable!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Makayla Holmes Durable on outside, not inside
I had these boots for about a year or so, and they worker great, did their job, but now the interior is falling apart, the backbone of the heel has fallen out and now the fabric hangs lose, so when I try to pull my foot out it gets stuck. The bottom on the inside is falling apart. Great boot but just be prepared to take it to a shoe repair place

Rated 5 out of 5 by Katie AWESOME BOOTS!
I loved them from the moment i saw them. i was very worried though that they would not fit around my fat calves...but they do!! The foot could be a bit more narrow as they seem kinda wide since i have skinny, long feet. But the size 10 seems to fit just fine, I'll just have to wear thick socks. Gosh they are awesome. I can't wait to ride in them and wear them to the renaissance fair! They are also perfect as going out on the town boots because they are sooo comfy! They are a bit on the pricey side (happy i had a gift certificate) but other than that, they seem so far, to be terrific!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ML LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!
I purchased these boots way back in the early spring. I did heed advise from other reviews, and ordered a 1/2 size smaller, and they are perfect! In fact, there was no break in time with these boots-perfect right out of the box! I love the fact that they are completely waterproof, which I have thoroughly tested! I have worn these while volunteering at several mucky 3day's, around town, and even to a really cold, wet, high school cross country meet - and have not failed to get a compliment on these boots! Very pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Susan Love these boots!
I took the advice of other reviews and ordered a smaller size. I usually wear a 9 1/2 and I ordered a size 9 and they fit PERFECTLY in the foot and through the calf! I do use a boot-jack to aid in taking them off and store them with cedar boot trees inside as my feet do sweat. The boots are beautifully well-made and very comfortable and are holding up against all the muck and yuck that I expose them to at the barn.

I bought these boots in April 2011 and wrote a review at that time. After owning them for 6 months or so, I'd like to add to my previous review (e.g. They run a bit large. You need to get 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller than normal). These boots do not stay up! They slouch horribly. I'm constantly having to tighten them and pull them up. I have the side laces as tight as they can possibly go, but they still slouch. I have small calves so maybe if you have large calves these boots might stay up for you. I really like how they look and wish I could do something to get them to stand up! I do not recommend these boots.
