Why did you choose this?

I have an older pair of the easy boot glove in,this size and it has always worked very well, for me. Need a new pair of boots and this seemed to be the closest to,what I,had. Tried others but have lost them and had to,reapply during rides. Never with the old glove. Hope, this works as well!

Very durable. Good fit. I have used these for a year with excellent results. They are easy to put on and I have never lost one.

EasyCare boots were recommended by my farrier as well as friends and family. I spoke to an EasyCare customer service representative who was very friendly and helpful in selecting the best boots for my horse. I received them very quickly! The quality is very nice, I would highly recommend them. I love them and I think my horse does too!!!

Looks like what I need for high country riding and keeping my horses feet in shape.

can these be worn in water?
Cindy on Aug 30, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, you can ride through water with the Backcountry. There are no drain holes in the bottom, but the water will squish out quickly enough once you're back on dry land. Mud is worse than water - mud tends to clog up the velcro and result in the flaps coming loose. I always wrap duct tape four or five times around each boot before setting out on a muddy ride, or going someplace where I really don't want to lose a boot, like the very rocky Yosemite high country. Works like a charm.

My filly has hard, high-heel, feet. Living in the Midwest I do not put shoes on her, but planning a trip to CO, rough terrain. What boot would you recommend? When she had shoes, it was a 00. I will be measuring her hoot this week-end. ty, ld
Linda D on Mar 27, 2015
Best Answer: I have this boot and it easy to use, without measuring there is no way to determine size vs a shoe size.

I would recommends once she is barefoot and has had a trim to measure and go with closest fit for there. Keep in mind for how many wks outside a trim. A lot of these boots don't work well with high heels so, you may want to get your farrier or trimmer to measure and contact easy care for questions

How to fix gator? How do you get the screws out? have tried everything, just want to replace the gator
Terry A on Jul 27, 2015
Best Answer: Honestly, your best bet for repair assistance is to contact EasyCare directly. Fixes made without their approval may void any warranty. Their phone number is 800-447-8836 and the web site is https://www.easycareinc.com/

if shoe is a size 1 what is the boot size? (5 1/4 inches each way)
marie t on Feb 2, 2015
Best Answer: Here is a link to the sizing chart:
5 1/4" is about 134 mm, which on the size chart is a size 2.5 Wide.
Please double-check the hoof measurement and measure very, very exactly after a fresh trim.

Would these boots work for a pigeon toed horse with a stone bruise on the outside 3rd of the foot?
tamdwells on Dec 16, 2014
Best Answer: Let me tell you my experience and then compare the situations. Our horse had an abscess that was breaking through in 2 places of his sole. I soaked his foot daily for a couple weeks and wrapped with 4x4's and duct tape till I finally purchased the Easy Boot. My only regret I didn't order the boot the first day and save myself so my headache with soaking and bandage change. The Easy Boot was an answer to prayers and SO MUCH easier to his daily dressings. Now as to the stone bruise I would think it would help, the dense rubber sole of the boot should provide your horse with the protection he needs till it heals and hope it doesn't lead to an abscess. Good Luck!!
