Easy Care Boa Horse Boot™
Providing your horse with exceptional hoof protection, the Easy Care Boa Horse Boot™ was developed to improve on the hoof boot concept, based on materials and technology found in modern athletic shoes and snowboard boots. Sold in Pairs. Includes Gaiters.
Features:
· Protection to the frog, sole, hoof wall, hairline, and bulb area
· Stability and protection during aggressive riding conditions
· Can be used for
o Occasional and everyday riding for the barefoot horse
o Aid in the treatment of founder, navicular, punctures, abscesses, bruises, contracted heels and other impact caused injuries
o Protection during trailering, breeding and a quick fix for the occasional lost shoe
· The Boa Horse Boot™ features
o “Dial-shield – protective cap that covers the Boa dial mechanism screws on like a treaded bottle cap
o Pull tab at the heel of the boot, similar to that on athletic shoes
o Three small drains located on the sole of the boot
· The primary closure is the Boa Lacing System™
o Boot opens up large enough for the wide base of the hoof, for quick application without force or strength
o After it is placed in the boot, turning the dial quickly tightens the boot securely around the hoof
o To remove the boot, simply pull the dial and the tension on the boot releases and it is easily slipped off the hoof
· Outside tread pattern is designed to provide traction similar to the natural barefoot hoof
· NOT recommended for the following:
o To be used to hold medications or invasive substances – may react adversely with the boot leathers and urethane sole
o Not recommended for endurance riding
How to get the correct size boot for your horse:
1. Measure the width of the hoof across the bottom at the widest point.
2. Measure the length of the hoof from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. The buttress line is the farthest weight bearing point of the heel.
3. Compare your measurement with the proper size chart below. If you are taking your measurements in inches, use the imperial size chart. If you are taking your measurements in millimeters, use the metric size chart.
4. Ideally, the width and length measurement will fit into the same Boa Horse Boot™ size. If the width and length measurements indicate different Boa Horse Boot™ sizes, select the larger Boa Horse Boot™ size.
