Product Summary:

Ideal for the barefoot horse or for a horse that is difficult to keep booted. The attached gaiter provides extra protection to the hoof. Also helps keep the boot on during extreme conditions.

Using Easyboots® is a natural way to provide hoof protection, traction, treatment, cushioning and correction while allowing the horse to go barefoot at all other times. They fit snugly to the hoof, are lighter and last many times longer than standard steel plates. Properly fitted, they stay on as well as nailed-on shoes with an important advantage if an Easyboot is pulled off, the rider can put it right back on.

Sold individually.

Easyboot Sizing:
All Easyboot sizing has changed! You MUST re-measure your horse's feet and compare to the size chart below to insure a proper fit!

How to get the correct size boot for your horse:
(1) Measure the width of the hoof across the bottom at the widest point.
(2) Measure the length of the hoof from the toe to the buttress line of the heel. The buttress line is the farthest weight bearing point of the heel.
(3) Compare your measurement with the proper size chart below.
(4) Ideally, the width and length measurement will fit into the same Easyboot Epic™ size. If the width and length measurements indicate different Easyboot Epic sizes, select the larger Easyboot Epic size. If the width and length measurements are different by more than one size, EasyCare hoof boots are not recommended.

Great!, 7/18/2011

Rachel from Northeast Pa

So far I have used them twice for my barefoot OTTB who was made tender after a year of being barefoot by a bad farrier. They are a little tough to put on and take off, but even just the second time doing it it was much easier. I had my trimmer fit the boots for me so I'm not sure about how easy it is to measure for them. They fit great and even through rough and muddy terrain they stayed on great.

Great boot, second only to the edge, 2/13/2011

Jessica from Morganton, GA

I bought this boot first. It works very well and will not come off when sized correctly. It is relatively easy to get on and off. It only takes about 5 minutes. It is worth not fighting the thrush my horses get underneath shoes (and no nail holes). The only draw back that I have seen is that the snap pops up occasionally. Also, the wires are hard on the hands when tightening and loosening them. I have to use my hoof pic. I am worried I will fray the wires. The edge is a better boot as the key system is so much easier. There is not popping up problem. This overall is a great boot, tender footed horse approved on gravel. If you can pay the extra, buy the edge. I'm going to buy the converters for my epics.
