I have had good luck with these, but all my horses have been barefoot for years and teir feet ar more round that oval and Horse.com doesn't stock these in the wide sizes which fit the rounder hoof. I suspect a lot of problems with them coming off, etc. is due to trying to use one of these on here on a round hoof, because you have to have too large a boot in order to get it on then it has too much play front to back which gurantees failure.

I see where Stphanie had problems with these. I had as set that I had ordered the first part of 2012 and the gaiter came off of the boot in the first mile of just walking. I turns out the stitching in a lot of these was defective. I returned them and they sent a new pair which I have over 50 miles on with no problems at all and I have rode up and down stupid steep rocky trails, through mud, rivers and down gravel roads. i use these on my Fox Trotter and Tennessee Walker and both do runnig walks and racks and I even get into races with friends at full out gallop and have not had any come off. Overall they work well, the only caveat is if you are riding in loose gravel they can get little rocks in them back in the rear against the heel bulbs and you need to check this at rest stops to prevent chafing, you don't have to take them off, just undo the gaiter fold it down and brush out the gravel. One thing I don't understand is my particular horses have two front and two back feet and I need pairs of boots, but they sell them singularly.

One of the boots came off on the first ride. 2* time we cantered the boot came off and the seam at the heel completly came apart.

I have used easyboots for 10+ years and used many different styles. I like the glove the best so far. Stays on well, not many problems with screws, but I have found that with all their boots, nothings perfect. The only thing I don't like is that my horses "outgrow" their boots between trims (6 weeks) unless I file them myself after about 3 weeks. I am willing to do that because they stay on so well, but for a newbie, I think the Epics are more forgiving.

the side screws seen don't hold period. I tightened them before the ride, in less than 5 miles gone. I used the blue screw lock stuff and kept one intact for a trial 5 m ride. No rubbing, horse seemed comfortable. I then tried a renegade boot on one front and a glove on the other. much more slipping with the glove foot on ice, mud, and pavement. I am going back to the renegade.

I'd recommend these boots. Have not had any trouble with them falling apart or falling off, just make sure you get the right size. It's easier always to fit the horse right after a trim. if your horse is coming due, you may want to wait because you may get a different fit. Only thing is...come on...they really need to start selling them in PAIRS and for a nicer price. they do seem to last a long time, though. And are great for the transition for 1st time barefooters.

We've used several types of boot products for our non-shod horses. The glove is by far the best for the money. They are ultra easy to put on, provided that one has measured the hoof for the correct size and keeps the hoof properly shaped. We normally only use them on rocky trails and only on the front unless we're in very rocky ground. The first pair I bought are just now starting to deteriorate after a year and some 180 miles of riding (not including soft trails), so I just ordered another pair. Far more cost effective than shoeing. State Line has pretty good prices and shipping is not outrageous compared to other online sites. The only drawback is that the glove model is not made for round hooves or for mules. Hopefully that will be addressed.

I have used the Gloves on my horse for 4 months of trail riding. After about 6 hours on the trail the screws loosen and start coming out. The Velcro strap is too thin and rips. I also have to over lap it to fit my very average sized QTR Horse. So I am constantly hot glue gunning the straps back on and putting thread locker on the screws so they don't undo themselves. They also do not stay on his back hooves even though they fit perfectly. The hoof has to be oval shaped, not triangular like back hooves often are. They are way easier to put on than boa-boots however.

my Thoroughbred mare is barefoot, lives on a soft pasture, but our trails are rocky. So, she needs protection. The GLOVE is just GREAT, does not fall off (well, only if you RACE steep uphill for some time it comes off now and then, but it happens very seldom). EASY to put on/ take off, even with Mrs. high-energy, can-not-stand-still Thoroughbred. We just "killed" one boot - after 3 years of intense use, and ordered a replacement. And, get the strip (official site or valley vet), it helps a lot! Horse is HAPPY, I am HAPPY

I didnt buy off this site but I do recomend it.Easy to put on and take off.If you want to find more information on it look on youtube.com..It will tell you everything about it.It was very helpful to me to decide on buying this product than another.They even show someone chasing a fake cow back and frth.An the boot never falls of.I would recomend the strap which you can buy from the official site.If I would of known about this site I would of bout the boots here(they are cheaper here) and the strap that goes accroaa the bott there. VERY EASY TO PUT ON.
