What color and fabric is the saddle pad?
A shopper on Dec 6, 2015
Best Answer: The saddle pad is made from cotton. The pads are assorted colors so there is no way to tell what color you will receive for sure.

I have a Haflinger pony who is pretty chubby. Would I need the wide or the Regular saddle?? Or is the saddle based on the size of the rider needs??
Carrie D on May 6, 2015
Best Answer: Both you and your horse must have the proper fit. When you are seated in the saddle, your buttocks should be a hands width from the back of the cantle. When the saddle is on your horse and girth tightened, there should be a two finger width from horses back to the inside of pommel.

Could you please tell me the size difference in the R and the W? I am looking to fit a gypsy vanner.
A shopper on Feb 5, 2016
Best Answer: AEquiRoyal advises us that there is about a 1/4 inch difference. The Regular Tree is approximately 4.25 inches; the Wide Tree approximately 4.50 inches.

I AM LOOKING FOR A ENGLISH SADDLE FOR A 7 YEAR OLD WHO IS SMALL . WOULD I GET THE 14 R OR 15 R? AND WHAT SIZE IS THE GIRTH? THIS WOULD BE FOR A 15 H HORSE WHO IS ALSO SLIM FOR HIS SIZE.
NANCY W on Dec 9, 2015
Best Answer: It really depends on how small the child is and how closely you'd like the seat size to fit. Some people like to buy the larger size so the child can ride in it for a few years. Either size should work it just depends on whether you want a closer fit now or if you'd like the saddle to work for the child for a few years. I would definitely get the regular size tree and not the wide if the horse is narrow and there is fair bit of adjust-ability with an English girth so they usually send a 48" so it will work for most horses. I hope this helps. Thanks!

how to pick out the right size seat for your child?
Michele M on Aug 23, 2015
Best Answer: Here is a general guideline:
Sit in a position so that your upper leg is at a right-angle to your lower leg, then measure your upper leg length ...from the back of your buttock to the tip of your knee.
Use this chart to determine your seat size:

Upper Leg Length Seat Size***
Up to 16 1/2" 15" seat
Up to 18 1/2" 16" seat
Up to 20" 16 1/2" seat
Up to 21 1/2" 17" seat
Up to 23" 17 1/2" seat
Up to 23" 18" seat
Please bear in mind these are general guidelines only and that we cannot guarantee fit in advance.
