Rated 2 out of 5 by worked great, then quit this tub worked great the first winter I used it. My donkeys hate ice cold water. I stored it for the summer. I just set it up again and it worked for one day. Expensive tub to use for one season. November 27, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Two Tubs - Both leak I purchased one of these tubs while temps were still warm. Unfortunately I did not test it. So when the time came to set it up I put in water and immediately noticed it leaked around the heating element. Although I was one day short of the 30 day return policy they told me i should contact the manufacturer. I called them and they told me to send them the tub and they would repair or replace it. So I thought I would purchase a second one while the manufacturer did their thing. Just received the second tub, it leaks as well. I am sending it back. I think the product concept is great to avoid electrical cords over the top of a tub. But, they have to make them to not leak! November 26, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by love it it is soooooo nice not to have to get up first thing and bust ice so my buddies can drink...dehydration is a serious thing and no fenced animal should be without plenty of water....ever!!!! November 25, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by 16 gal heated bucket I love these tubs. Have had mine for 7 years with not one problem. We have had very cold/icey winters the last two years and the tub has held up thru it all. I leave it plugged in 24/7 once the temps stay down during the day. I just top off every night and then dump/scrub out about every 3-4 days. I did make the mistake of unplugging one on an expectionally warm day and did not dump the water out. It refroze overnight and cracked the tub. Totally my fault - nothing to do with defective product. I am buying another one to replace for this winter. November 1, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Heated Tub I purchased one of these about 6 years ago - never had any trouble with it until my husband smashed it with the tractor into pieces :( I am definately ordering another one to replace it. Hope I am as lucky with this one!! August 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lifesaver in the morning! I bought two buckets three years ago. Best thing since safety pins and baggies. My husband moved my older dogs to the front kennel but left one of the just filled buckets and unplugged it to "save energy,"just when the worst storm in 40 years took temp to -17 here. Ice expanded & broke bucket, so I put my old stock pot in it, filled it with water & put it in the front kennel. February 8, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by 1 week bucket Worked great for about 8 days and then the element stopped heating. Looks great, sounds like a good product, but don't waste your money. February 7, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME BUCKET!!! I love this bucket! We have winters that stay around 5 degrees for a week and then 20 the rest of the winter. I keep my horse in the stall on those really harsh cold days/nights and I only use this heated bucket for his water. Keeps the water perfectly liquid and normal. And the cord folds right up under the bucket so i store it when its not winter and use it. Its an all around great bucket. and I recommend it to everyon! December 30, 2010

Why did you choose this? Store
Needed heated tubs, not buckets, for two paddocks in MA. We put 15 gal in each paddock every other day. Perfect size, great price, saved nearly 60 bucks total for 2, which covered the freight with $30 to spare!

How warm does the water get? Can you regulate a thermostat?
Kathy P on Jan 28, 2014
Best Answer: Kathy,
The water stays lukewarm day and night, even on our nights in the single digits. It has a thermostat to keep it at an even temperature, but it cannot be adjusted. We don't find any need to change what it dies automatically. The horses are very happy with it and continue to drink their normal 10 gallons or so a day each. We refill it during the day to keep the level up. The robins and wrens are enjoying it too. They love to swoop down and have a drink and drop in a hollytberry or two in the process. We dump it out every three days or so and give it a good scrubbing to keep algae from building up. We have used a heated bucket for five years, and this year is the first time we had to replace it.
We wish you the best.

can they be put outside, or do they have to be put in stalls?
heatherb on Jan 6, 2015
Best Answer: We have ours outside the barn but it is under the eaves. We are planning to put one completely outside soon (moving cows first as they tend to destroy things) and have done so in the past with no problem. It does say not recommended to use extension cord but we have to do so and use a heavy duty, grounded cord with a ground fault interrupter on it.

How much is shipping?
A shopper on Dec 22, 2014
Best Answer: Not much it was reasonable and worth it. The bucket arrived undamaged and in 3-5 days as promised. The price was $7.00 more at my local feed store So Stateline was the best value for my dollars

Best Answer: I think that is question that the manufacturer should answer. I know nothing about electricity. But I love the bucket.
