Farm Innovators® Universal Drain Plug De-Icer

Thermostatically controlled for efficiency to only operate when necessary, turning on and shuting off automatically. Unit is completely hidden from the animal, and suspended in the tank so it cannot come in contact with the bottom or side.  Easy to install and requires no special tools.  Just remove the drain plug to create the opening when the unit fits in. Fits any Behlan®, Freeland®, Hastings®, Rubbermaid®, or Applegate® tank.

Rated 3 out of 5 by poor quality control?? Bought new heater to replace one that died an ugly death. Horses are mini-bulldozers with teeth!! Problem is the nut to secure to tank will not thread on either to the new one or the old heater. Thankfully I had the nut from the old one and it fit perfectly. Just for s.... and grins I will send nut back with note. November 12, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by tough time It just got cold here in CO so I finally got to try the two I bought... they both leak... tried plumbers tape, still leaked, tightened with pliers which slowed the leak to 'good enough'. Also, the water gets to a very warm temp so I'm not sure if they are shutting off... very frustrating, but at least my playful horses can't get to them! October 25, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by good product Liked this heater better when the neck was bigger diameter. That keeps heater from moving and leaking. It also allows it to use larger and heavier washer and lock nut from trough plug. They seem to last. Had to buy 2new heaters this year after 5 or 6 years.we'll see what quality the new ones are? January 5, 2012
