Product Summary:

SimpliFly by Farnam® with Larva Stop
Feed-thru fly control

  • Prevents the development of stable flies and house flies in the manure of treated horses.
  • Highly palatable feed additive
  • Contains no organophosphates
  • Pellets with an Alfalfa scent

A highly palatable feed additive to prevent the development of stable flies and houseflies in the manure of treated horses. Contains the fly growth regulator, Diflubenzuron (Dimilin), which breaks the fly life cycle by preventing the formation of fly larvae's exoskeletons when they molt (resulting in their death). Reduces fly populations by 97-100%.

Start feeding in spring before flies begin to appear, and continue feeding throughout the summer.

Directions for Use
:
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

DO NOT USE ON HORSES INTENDED FOR SLAUGHTER

Feed the recommended dosage of SimpliFlyTM with LarvaStopTM to each horse separately to make certain he receives his full portion. This product should be fed top dressed on grain or mixed with the horse's total ration to provide 6.8 mg of diflubenzuron per 100 lbs. of body weight. For an occasional finicky eater who does not accept new feeds readily, mix this product with sweet feed or grain ration.

Start feeding SimpliFlyTM with LarvaStopTM early in the spring before flies begin to appear and continue feeding throughout the summer and into the fall until cold weather restricts fly activity. This product contains an insect growth regulator which prevents the development of house flies and stable flies in the manure of treated horses, but is not effective against existing adult flies.

In some cases, supplemental fly control measures may be needed in and around paddocks and buildings to control adult house and stable flies which can breed in other decaying vegetable matter or silage on premises, or that migrate in from other areas.

SimpliFlyTM with LarvaStopTM should be used as part of an integrated pest management program aimed at reducing fly populations in the horse's environment. Consult your retailer for program recommendations. In order to achieve optimum fly control, this product should be used in conjunction with other premise and on-animal products as well as good management and sanitation practices.

SimpliFlyTM with LarvaStopTM is a highly palatable feed additive to prevent the development of stable flies and house flies in the manure of treated horses. Rated 5 out of 5 by It Works We have been using the product for over a month and the fly population is way down. We noticed less flies at about 3 weeks and now there are very few. The horses love it and will eat it out of hand. Will not go another summer without it as our summer starts in April and lasts until November! June 14, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simplifly With four horses Simplifly works wonders, I wouldn't be without it. June 2, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Try this fly remedy~ it works This is our 3rd year using Simplifly because IT WORKS! We keep 10 head here so a solution to fly problems is a necessity. Simplifly, plus a few traps for visiting adult flies, gets the job done when started early in the season. I do recommend this product. May 25, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 Can't live without it! This is the first year that we have used Simplifly at our retirement boarding facility and I won't go another Summer without it! My vet and ferrier say that there aren't any flys at our facility but other facilities in the same area are inundated with them. You definitely notice a huge difference. August 24, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by No more flies This product does everything it says it will do. Last year all I did was kill biting flies,(127 one afternoon) and this year there are none. Believe me, if you want to get rid of the biting, nasty flies, then get this product and use it like it says one scoop per horse in the morning is what I do. I will never be without this as long as I have horses. Thank you. August 2, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by fly-free Cannot believe the difference this summer; we are virtually fly-free. Now I can do away with the wall spray cans in every stall and I'm saving on fly spray too!! Love it. July 28, 2009
Rated 1 out of 5 by PASS I wish I could say better things about this product. I've been using it for 2 full weeks and have noticed zero difference. Very disppointed and will be looking for a replacement. June 29, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by this is great stuff I am using this for the first time and it has truely worked great. My horse who is a picky eater, will eat it right out of hand. What a god send. The fly population is down. I am very happy with the product. June 16, 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product This product is great, it cuts down the amount of flys a great deal. There will always be some from other sources around the barn. Worth the price. June 9, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Goodbye Flies Last year my horses and I all suffered from those terrible biting flies. I started this at the end of April and there are no flies around. I didn't think it would work but I was so wrong. I highly recommend this product if you don't want those pesky flies biting your horses making them stomp constantly. Great product! It's true also that one scoop in their grain per day does the trick. June 3, 2009
