Rated 5 out of 5 by Great deal I ordered 3 and after a few weeks got two more for my friends horses. My horses destroy buckets after buckets but so far they haven't done more then get these dirty. The price is well worth it. April 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lasted for years now! I have these for my horses...they are super sturdy and have lasted for years now... March 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by over the fence feeders i ordered these not sure how they would be they are sooo much less expensive than at the feed/tack stores, they arrived and I LOVE THEM! They are very large and sturdy, I have an older gelding who loses feed when fed from a rubber pan, now he isn't losing much at all, they are deep and very well made. I would recommend these to any horse owner. They are great, colors are very pretty too. Great price as well. Thanks! March 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Over-Fence Feeder I love this because getting in the pasture with the horses can be a little dangerous at times, ecspecially feed time. Now I can just pour through the fence out of harms way. The quality is good as well. I've had mine for years now and there is only one crack in my mares bucket on the top. She rubs her neck on it a lot, so Im pretty pleased that she hasn't broken it after years! October 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good, one flaw, not major. I love it. ALOT BIGGER then I accepted! The only thing that was sort of a problem was: the spot where you hang it on a fence is a little big. Although my fences are skinny. Not a HUGE problem, I can live with it. :) April 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for pasture Love this bucket, we just drilled a few small holes in bottom so we could leave on pipe gate in all weather without water buildup in it. October 7, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by very handy I use these as water buckets as well as feed buckets. 2 of our horses live in covered pipe corrals and these fit very nicely over the corral panels. Easy to dump the dirty ones out and re fill. They occasionally get them down, but all they need is a rinse off. Much easier than the snaps, hooks and straps I used to have on the flat back buckets! plus the flat back traditonal buckets never hung very well on the corrals. These do! June 20, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Handy Feeder Hook at any level on fences or in stalls. My horses like them down low best and love a nice bran mash served up in them :-). Roomy and horses don't flip feed out like they do with the smaller versions of this style. Sturdy and lovely colors, great price/value. May 31, 2011

how long are the hangers on the back of the bucket?
A shopper on Oct 31, 2014
Best Answer: Honestly, I believe the hanger portion may be about the same as the standard ones you see at the feed store....BUT....I have found that because this bucket is deeper than the standard ones you find at the feed store it stays more securely because it sits more flat on the fence. I love the one I purchased almost two years ago. It is still in great shape, just barn dirt. My horses just seem to like it better... don't mess with it as much so no damage. As an added tip though you can put one of those rubber bungees(stronger) around the lower portion so our little stinkers don't flip it. Just make sure the metal s-clips are well hidden behind bucket.

What size are they?
Lynn R on Sep 29, 2014
Best Answer: They are the standard diameter but much deeper! Love love love them. They are very durable too, I still have the ones I purchased and they are holding up like new, just barn dirt to wash off! I won't buy the ones from the feed store again these are much better. Horses can't flick grain out as easily because of depth! Also the hot pink one was for a pony so it works well for a smaller horse too.

what is the capacity ?
A shopper on Aug 5, 2015
Best Answer: we had a goat eating out of it so we broke a flake of alfa alfa off and tore it apart to shove it in there. We use them as bird and dog waterers now. The goat wasn't able to eat grain out of the bucket and usually had it off the fence in order to get the last of the hay. My mom didn't want them for her horse because they were to deep for grain. I personally wouldn't ever buy them again as I don't know what animal could really get to the bottom of the feeder. The dogs drink about 3/4 of the way down then we refill them.

Best Answer: they fit over a pipe corral but don't hang straight..the fence plank is what keeps the feeder level

Can these feeders be used for cattle?
A shopper on Jul 25, 2015
Best Answer: I don't know if a large headed steer could get its head into the bucket. They are pretty rough with feeding troughs. These buckets are great and I think you should try one and see if it works for you. I use them for my horses and they work perfectly. But they have a longer nose than a steer.I would secure it to the fence for the cattle and see if it works. If it does you will be very pkeased.
