Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it I love this product. I have two installed one in each pasture with a garden hose. There are no problems whatsoever. Cleaning them is a breeze...just unscrew the plug, drain and wipe out. Saves on water and scrubbing out a huge stock tank.(been there done that) Always provides clean drinking water for our boys. Rated 5 out of 5 Wonderful! I have seven of these and LOVE them! They are tied into my irrigation system, with s/s hoese for washers, and run for three seasons. Never any problems with them running. In fact I'm now looking for 2 of the shorter ones for my low slung dogs. June 15, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 Great Product Although we have to take the float cover off (4 screws -- very easy to remove) and adjust the float. This was because the screws that hold the float had come loose during shipping. Since then the product works great. We put an adapter on ours in order to be able to hook it up to a garden hose. Very easy to do. We like the product and are ordering another. May 8, 2009

to allow horses to drink fresh water all day without me having to refill the bucket

Better than a bucket as it replaces water as it is used. easier to clean.

How long is the connection hose?
lisa e on Sep 20, 2013
Best Answer: 24 to 27 inches long for the connection hose. I've got one with each purchase... Waterer works great too.... we have purchased 3 or 4 of these and no issues at all. Use ONE for waterer for the dogs outside.... soooooooo easy to clean with the drain plug in the bottom.....

Hope this helps....

can you hook up from either side? I have one like this and it hooks up on the other side. (left side when facing waterer)
jerry f on Jun 1, 2014
Best Answer: Good evening Jerry......

I just checked my and it only has the hookup for the "right" side as you face the waterer. I looked for a plug or something where you could switch it over to the left side but I didn't see anything there. I "suppose" you could drill a hole and make the right sized hole and switch over the float.... but that would put all the adjustments on the back side of the waterer.... somewhat difficult to adjust without taking off the entire piece. Then you would have to have a plug for the other side... Seems like it would be just as easy to run a flex stainless steel tubing around the back and hook it up on the right side... about all I can see that would be a LOT easier fix... unless they make a left sided waterer... Hope that helps....
Take care,
