My vet told me about this. I have a donkey who suffers with chronic abcesses.

will this boot fit a small draft that weighs 1500-1600 back hooves?
Dorinda H on Jul 9, 2014
Best Answer: I would say Yes, Its a good size soaking boot I have 2 good size horses 15.1hh 15.2 hh with 2 different size hoofs and there is still alot of room its pretty big. I think it would fit a normal size draft horse. Hope this helps!!

can i use this boot if the horse has shoes on?
Cindy C on Sep 21, 2014
Best Answer: I used it on a barefoot horse but I would not hesitate to use this on a horse with shoes. It comes with a very thick, about a half inch, heavy duty rubber pad that the horse stands on in the boot. This pad comes out easily. The "bag" material also seems very tough.
