Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice crupper for the price I purchased this item for my round Icelandic mare who hardly has any withers. Her saddle slides forward onto her shoulders and I frequently have to dismount and reposition her saddle. This crupper solved the problem immediately and doesn't seem to bother her at all. I did have to punch a few extra holes in the leather to get this to fit her as it is intended for larger horses. All in all, I'm really pleased with this crupper! February 21, 2012

do you carry the d-rings to attach to saddles?
A shopper on Oct 12, 2015
Best Answer: Crupper D rings are generally heavier and installed by a saddle maker or repair person. You can alternately use a tie down or other strap connected to the girth D rings and run under the stirrups and around the back of the seat on a western saddle. On an English saddle you need a T type insert with D ring.
