I choose this because I wanted a bridle to match my particularly hard to match hunter saddle. Saddle it was to light but other wise very pretty and good quality.

Great value for good quality product.

does this come with reins? if not, what reins would you use with it? i don't want to end up getting reins that don't match.
A shopper on Nov 10, 2014
Best Answer: Yes it comes with matching leather plaited reins. I don't personally like the quality of them, they're very stiff, but they match the bridle.

I have a lighter colored pessoa oakbark saddle and wondering if this oakbark bridle will match. Does it get really dark when oiled?
Stella S on Aug 2, 2015
Best Answer: I am ok with this bridle... For the price it is good. The underside of the leather is a bit rough but in my experience that kind of thing gets better with time and conditioning. As far as coloring, if you want it to get darker, I don't think regular oil will do too much. However, I love hydrophanes leather darkening oil. (I got mine on dovers website). It's fairly mild on this bridle but after several applications it darkened it nearly perfectly to match my oakbark breastplate of a different brand. I love hydrophanes oil in general but this leather darkening careful changed the leather bit by bit. So I wouldn't worry too much about leather oil but if you need it darker that's the way to go. Of course always test a small portion. Hope that helps!

What does the Hazelnut color really look like? I have a Courbette Newmarket color saddle that I'm trying to find a bridle to match.
Alexis S on Aug 20, 2015
Best Answer: Hazelnut is a light red/ brown color.
