Do these leathers in oakbark match the HDR Advantage Close Contact saddle exactly?
Sarah on Jul 20, 2014
Best Answer: Wish I could help, but I bought these in hazelnut to match my older Stubben saddle. However, I really like the leathers and would buy again if I needed to.

Are these nylon reinforced on the back or in the middle of the leather?
A shopper on Jan 23, 2015
Best Answer: If I understand your question correctly, they are reinforced in the middle. There is not any nylon visible on these. I have these, but I didn't even know there was nylon in them. I've been using mine regularly for about 2 years now and they are still in good condition, and it matches the saddle nicely.

hi there i am 5'8 what is the best length for my height?
A shopper on Aug 10, 2015
Best Answer: Hi, I am 5'10 and ordered size 54. I use them not only for myself, but for students ranging in height from 5'4 to 6'2, and the leathers easily cover that whole range. Even though women usually have longer legs, size 54 should be perfect for you. Size 60 I would recommend only for giants! Good luck. Edwin M.

Are the color options mixed up? I want to order the darker brown which I think is hazelnut but the comments make me think perhaps the darker is the oakbark. All I need to know is which color is the darker of the two browns?
A shopper on Dec 18, 2015
Best Answer: Oak bark is darker, more a medium brown. Hazelnut is lighter- more an orange tint. HDR does make a Havana color too, which is darker than oak, but not sure it is offered here.

Do these leathers scratch the saddle?
Patricia on Sep 20, 2015
Best Answer: Basically 'no'. Like all stirrup leathers, they rub on the saddle a bit, but nothing that couldn't be polished out with saddle soap.

Can they fit to a western saddle ? My leg leathers on the left are paper thin from cutting barrels. It's right at the hole fitting latch.
Donna L on Mar 22, 2015
Best Answer: I suppose you could fit to a western saddle, although I only think of western leg leathers as much wider and thicker? Hope it works out.

Do these leathers match the HDR advantage close contact grippy saddle (with flocked pannels)? I am planning on buying that saddle and I'm hoping for these to match.
A shopper on Sep 24, 2015
Best Answer: Dear Shopper,
Congrats on your new saddle!! The answer is - it depends. Leather (as it ages and wears) changes color and probably won't be an exact match, but never fear, the new leathers will also age and wear and blend right in. The stirrup leathers are typically "hidden" by your leg anyway. So click away and enjoy your ride!

Just to make sure, is hazelnut the lightest color leather? That's what I need to match my saddle. Also wondering if there is a light colored half-hole stirrup leather out there. Thanks.
Bonzai on Nov 22, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, hazelnut is the lightest color by Henri de Rivel. We do carry other half hole stirrup leathers, but they are all darker:
