My horse has been eating dirt. is it low iron?
A shopper on Sep 17, 2015
Best Answer: Your horse may be looking for a source of salt, or sugar in grass roots, they may be anxious, or perhaps deficient in something but I would not assume it is Iron. I don't know how much dirt they are eating but you could be risking sand colic if it is a lot. I would seek advice from a vet or look at getting a blood panel done to know for sure.
