Has good reviews and a good price
Kaela M on Sep 9, 2015
Price was right and read the comments about it and like what I read. Also, the colors are good and appear not to be thick and dark. Also look light in weight for horses to be comfortable.

Is the mask closure velcro?
A shopper on Jun 7, 2015
Best Answer: Yes. The closure is Velcro but not the same thin Velcro that is on a other types of fly masks. It is made sturdy and wonderful. And it has a nice opening that you can put your lead through if need be. Ours has held up longer than any other fly mask we have owned in our 9 year horse venture. This is the third year on ours. I'm ordering a new one only because I read that the UV protection in a fly mask fades over time and feel we should replace it. Hope this helps.

is there anything around the ears to protect from rubbing the skin raw?
A shopper on Jun 17, 2015
Best Answer: Hi, when I.ordered the lask I was so excited about the discounted because I knew it was a Kensington and because it had a feature that allows it to be cut to be used as a halter I didn't think about the ears.

when it arrived I actually noticed that there were no ear covers when I unfolded it to put it on.

if you don't mind I have a suggestion in this situation although I am a person who favors fly masks that have ear covers, as well as fky wraps for their legs
(simply because it helps to cut down the used to fly spray and risk of fly eggs)

I've been using a product called horse and pony spray for the last 3 or 4 years that I have moved to Northern California you can buy the product at Tractor Supply
e quality of our animal careduty so it will last

Item description says that it covers the ears but the pics do not show it....does this mask have the ear covers?
A shopper on Jun 7, 2015
Best Answer: I belive the Kensington catch mask has the option for ears no ears and long nose, I ordered the no ear catch mask for all 7 of my horses and will b ordering more if they come out with a smaller size for ponys and yearlings, and if they come in palomino color! it's the best fly mask I hve ever used, my stalled horses and my pasture horses keep them on, no more searching for missing masks!

What size for a typical size Quarter Horse?
Rosemary G on Sep 17, 2015
Best Answer: Large typically fits your average horse. And it is adjustable for a more snug or loose fit.
