What color is 'bark'?
A shopper on Jul 2, 2016
Best Answer: Hello
Bark is a brown color - not deep, but brown. You can go on line to view the color.
Indigo is blue - a nice darker blue, but again not deep dark navy.

Are these breeches thick enough to hide "imperfections" or are they more like tights?
Christal M on Oct 4, 2016
Best Answer: They are thick enough to hide imperfections, and yet quite stretchy. These are my FAVORITE riding breeches, I have 10 pairs. The lighter colors don't hide imperfections quite as well (tan, light blue, iris, etc.), but the darker colors are great. Very durable, although a couple of years back the kneepatch material was quite flimsy. the ones I purchased recently seem to have that problem fixed. I still ride in a pair I bought 15 years ago. BTW, this applies to the knee patch breeches. I did not like the full seat breeches. I hope this helps!

Do they have deep side pockets?
Joan S on Aug 19, 2016
Best Answer: We actually like the pockets in the piper knee patch breeches best since you can fit your iphone (6) in the back side pocket whille you ride.

Do these breeches have the velcro closure at the bottom?
Rachel F on Jul 29, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Rachel,

No, these breeches don't have the Velcro on the bottom. They are straight hemmed with a type of rubber-material inside the hem itself (kind of like what you may find on some of the stay-put ladies' panties available--that is the first example that comes to mind because I used to buy some of those with rubber threads at the hem, and they were great). I have only worn the breeches twice to work at the barn (my horse-riding situation is at a standstill at the moment :-( However, I am happy to report that the fit is lovely, they are very flattering, comfy, cooler than I expected, and look quite nice. They have a comfy V-waist at the top and are not seeming to dig in or anything. Also, I have washed them once in cold-water soak by machine, and then through a warm water wash and they came out lovely! (NB: I don't put my breeches in the dryer ever, so I don't have any feed-back there.) They dry quickly in a few hours by hanging up on a drying rack, and they don't wrinkle much, etc. It is my first purchase from this company, and my first purchase of this particular brand and style. I am so far very happy with all 3 and would buy from each again! :-) I live in BC, Canada and the shipping was great, quick and came with a little bonus of an energy-drink sample. Oh, and the brand itself sends along a little bag of carrot seeds! Too cute! So far I am very happy with overall quality, cut, fit, etc. as well. Disclaimer, I don't work for any of the companies either. I am just a shopper with a bit more tummy than I would like at the moment (but even now I have lost 12 LBS since I bought them from skipping the paddocks, lol). I hope this helps you. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Happy riding!-Teresa

are these ribbed?
A shopper on Jul 1, 2016
Best Answer: Hi, they are called "micro cord," and the name is appropriate. They are very, very finely "ribbed" or "waled."
It is fine ribbing about 2 threads thick. It is hardly noticeable, and yet adds enough detail and strength to the fabric. It is stylish and well-done.

All the best!
