Will this fit a 14.2 half-arab or will it be too big?
A shopper on Jan 31, 2015
Best Answer: I am using the Kincade German Martingale on a very stout 15.2 quarter horse with a short thick neck. I have the reins adjusted to the first or second D-ring. I have never had to use the third D-ring. This is an economical martingale that gives me a lot of control and is teaching my horse to give to the bit very well. He is in barrel training and tends to want to have his head up at the canter. He showed improvement quickly with this product without me having to work so hard. I believe this would work for your half-arab as long as he is not extremely short necked. I hope this helps and good luck!

what are the reins made of?
anita k on May 21, 2015
Best Answer: The reins are made of nylon with leather where it attaches to the bit and at the end where two the reins connect. The rest of the martingale is all leather. I would definitely recommend it, still have mine and used it for a year.
