Rated 4 out of 5 by Kincade Laced Reins So far, I am very happy with this item, looks good on my horse, and feels great in my hand, excellent grippage so far. November 28, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 Pretty good I use these reins on my Arabian mare, who can obviously be a pretty strong puller. They are fairly good quality and they never break or stretch, even on her bad days. I have used them in the rain and snow, and they have a really good grip on them so your hands don't slip at all. The only problem i have with these reins is they dont have them in black! I really need some black reins but I can't find any except for 80 to 200 doller ones. So i guess ill just have to wait... But good product if you have a brown bridle. =) March 1, 2009

How dark are the brown reins? I have a chestnut bridle so I am trying to find some reins that will match as close as possible.
Maggie J on Aug 7, 2015
Best Answer: These reins are as dark as they appear in the photo. They are a deep rich brown. Very nice but, they will be much darker than chestnut. Hope this helps. God bless
