Spend a little more and get the Wintec leadline saddle. I've been using them for years and they are far better. They are balanced and the leathers DO stay on. If you need a girth for a small pony, look on line to find a small string dressage girth. :)

i bought this saddle for my daughter and the stirrup leathers will not stay on it. where the leathers are supposed to attatch to the saddle, the hooks are pulling out and if my daughter turns her toes in at all the leathers fall off. not happy!

Not completely thrilled with this saddle. I bought it for my young daughter to use on her pony. MAJOR downfall is the billets!! You are only able to take the girth up to the flap and not under like a normal English Saddle. Had to have a dressage girth special ordered because we couldn't find one short enough. If you are using it on a bigger horse I'm sure they are great to reduce bulk but on ponies you are stuck without much adjustment. She is riding a Welsh mare and we had to order a 12" girth, when she would normally need a 28". It is also STAPLED together, as in fabric stapled to the tree and stirrup bars are VERY loose and are not attached well. Don't waste your $$ and get a good old fashioned leather saddle...
